Why in the world did they cast a 16 y/o to star opposite a 28 y/o??? Either cast both as adults or as minors.…
I was also wondering that and I came to the conclusion that a 28 yr old man is more imposing, like the way Gu Hai was in the original Addicted. After ep 7 it made me want to watch the original cause this one is so blah... Hero is not crazy enough, and Poppy is not angry enough. But I agree, the age difference definitely takes away from the story. Even reading the books would be inappropriate for the young actors, so why would they think to use them in the series?
I just love this. I wish many people saw this. If any similar vibe old kdramas if you come across pls let me know.
Have you watched "I really, really like you" that one is also a Lee Min Ki old school kdrama (I'm obsessed with Lee Min Ki) but that's one to look for, I bought the dvds so I don't know if it's on a stream site but worth a watch,
You should read the novels for the full story... It's pretty bananas. Even if the original hadn't been banned…
I read them on fandom.com both books are translated plus they have side stories about the 2nd couple. It's not for the faint of heart though, it gets pretty intense, I loved it though. I love crazy.
Chinese Government would never understand how beautiful "Addicted "(original version) & "Stay with Me" were....…
You should read the novels for the full story... It's pretty bananas. Even if the original hadn't been banned I don't think the series would've 'went there,' I don't think the full story will ever be shown for audiences to watch. I was so curious to find out what happened where the series was cut off and I found you can read the books online for free in English - I'm so glad I did that! Otherwise I don't think I could die in peace. lol
cringe and such a drag 😠eps 1-6 were cute, but i binged eps 7-12 and omg it was unbearable, between oye forgiving…
You couldn't have said it any better!! I started the series a few days before the last episode aired. I was lovin it at first. I was so excited to see Great, I've been in love with him since Manner of Death OMG!! I need to watch that again... Anyway it was fun till the end. There were too many things I didn't understand like Taem... Was she, or was she not trying to sabotage the Ball date??? Personally it seemed her call for help was... Well not to be offensive, and maybe I'm just a different kind of woman, SA is subjective, but dude just stopped the car to talk and touched her leg... Didn't much seem like a dangerous moment till it escalated. My point being she calls Yak knowing about the ball that night, then later encourages him to go... I just didn't get what they were going for with that scenario. THEN... Yak ends up being a touch schizophrenic but the sound of Dee's voice snaps him back to reality. THEN... at the end we find out how long Dee would be gone for, and Yak says he'll wait... Seriously??? I mean, I know love conquers all but Seriously???? They could've at least shown some proof that he does... The ending sucked - they should've threw in a fast forward to a future where they're reunited... But by that time I was already spent, I couldn't take anymore.
I hate Mew...he believes himself to be morally superior to Ray but does not hesitate to use him as a rebound even…
I hated Mew as well, but more so because he was stringing Top along after he found out all that went down with Boston. Honestly I didn't see where he had the right to be all that upset by the time he found out... His treatment of Top, and Ray were a turn off for me, so I wish they would've both flipped the script and dumped him...
What kind of kisses are those that consist of cheek sniffing? Is that a Thailand thing? (they make me cringe)
Thank You!!! I feel the same way... I never saw such a thing till I started watching Thai BLs. They annoy the hell out of me, but I heard it was a culture thing, so I guess I have to deal with it... Even if it is cringe.
