Best rom-com series of 2025. I'm so happy about it! Love the leads, the humor, even the fashion. It is so hard to make a good rom-com, and most of the time the story fizzles out after a few episodes. Love that the male lead is the rare "he fell first, and he fell harder" trope.
I see some complaints, that the undercover plan is not clever enough, but I love it. The faulty nature of the "master plan" makes it much more entertaining. If the plan were clever there would be no story, because the evil brother and sister would never find her, and nobody would suspect her identity. Really like the vibe of this, reminds me of Little Women which I also loved. Jeon Yeo Been is wonderful, she plays the underdog so well. It is not a realistic story of course, but I love that she is not a typical cinderella character.
There was this scandal that he posted a picture on Insta about the p**n version of Squid Game. He said it was an accident, he wanted to send the picture to his agent, or something like that. He apologised but he parted with this project and and they casted a new male lead very fast.
At first I did not like that they recasted this, but the previews look promising. I will give this new ML a chance, it is not his fault what has happened.
Loved the first two episodes! This has such a feel good vibe. I love the fact that it is about "ordinary attorneys" and not the "best of the best". Wonderful group of actors, who have really great "group chemistry". Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young is a nice pairing, I like their bickering.
I think this series is good, but the heavy subject makes many people dislike it. It is also the type of series, where it is really hard to rate it. A dying FL is something that is hard to pull of, because you can't make it light, but you also can't make it unbearable. For me the marketing was off, so I waited until episode 6 to start it. Love Namkoong Min and Jeon Yeo Been, they are wonderful actors, and they give really great performances. I read many complaints about the side characters, how annoying the way they deal with the FL, but honestly they do not know the truth, and people are cruel. I guess if we looked at everyone like they were dying we would change our attitude. It is a melo, but it is not unbearable, at least not yet. My only complaint is, that I think this story would've worked so much better as a movie, because with this kind of subject matter the viewer only cares about the two leads, every other storyline feels unimportant.
Really liked this and did not feel the need to skip any of it. It was more like your typical detective story (without a detective) and not a thriller. If you go into it as a murder mystery it works much better. (I agree with all the comments that say it could of been shorter, but the episodes are short around 40 minutes.) I recommend it for those who like Higashino, or Matsumoto novels.
I loved this until they introduced too many side characters around episode 8-10 for whom I really could not care less about. This seems to be a theme with some CDramas. I usually really do not care about the third or fourth couple.
However I loved the two main love stories, especially the corporate girl/ free spirit guy one. But I felt like they were basically forgotten for many episodes. I could not understand their complication. Maybe because I’m European but I find it unrelatable when the FL finds her job more important than her love. I never understand this in CDramas or Kdramas. And usually the job is some souless corporate job, they do not even like. In the end there was at least some silver lining for the FL.
I loved Je Hoon as an actor, but honestly his egg episode was such a turn off. He would be the first one to die in a zombie apocalypse. I was surprised that the guys did not tell him what to do. Honestly if I had to stay with a man like this for a week I would be so annoyed. Dong Yeon is such a breath of fresh air compared to him. Dong Hwi is also ill prepared for life, but he strikes me as a symphatetic character.
This show is lovely! It deserves a 10 in my view, but on this site Japanese series’ tend to get lower scores (maybe because less people review them). The stories are so heartwarming and realistic at the same time. The child actors are great, I’m always shocked how can they act so well. Makino is exactly like the doctors I knew as a kid, which made me nostalgic. If you need something soothing to the soul, this is your series.
This series is so nice! It reminds me of summer camp. Love how diligent Kwak Dong Yeon is. It’s funny how lost the two older guys are but kinda feel sorry for them, they probably never went to camp as children. Never thought watching four actors cooking and fishing would be such a feel good experience.
What a bummer. I was really exited about this. Hospital Playlist was such a wonderful series, love to see this one too. I wish they would just sell the rights to Netflix, make it exlusively online.
Loved the episode! Lovely romantic chemistry between the leads, it feels very natural. I can't wait for every family member to find out that they are dating. Out of all the storylines the only one I don't like is the brother, I really feel sorry for Lee Seung Hyub, because he plays the only character who doesn't have any depth (at least not yet). Love the parents' love story, I'm a sucker for these types of storylines where married people reconcile. I loved Moeum's confession, the way she was like 'damn it, i will just do this' I envy her bravery. I think Danho is afraid of losing someone again, that is why he rejected her, but he clearly likes her. I don't mind that their path to each other is not easy and I also don't mind if they pine for each other for a few episodes instead of becoming a happy family immediately.
So guys here is a guess maybe it's not a relapse and she just had her stomach upset and the drama makers are trying…
I think it's the popcorn. They made that very obvious, and the ex (even though I hate him) wasn't being a jerk, when he said she shouldn't eat it, but he knew about her condition.
MDL - that odd place where people are ALLERGIC to dramas not being full of positive vibes only ✨ and angrered…
I agree with you! I don’t get all the negativity, but this happens with every popular series. I watched Lovely Runner while it aired, and the comments were so annoying, people were complaining all the time. Same thing with Marry my husband.
People hate commented on this series since the first episode, even though this is such a nice series, which has some dark moments, but life is like that too. Also because of the melodrama it will be much more rewarding when the two characters will finally find happiness with each other.
Just to give you all a blackpill, there is a reason why Seung Hyo was showed working diligently to build a ideal…
I really hope that is an intentional misdirect from the writer to scare us. If this were a melodrama I would accept a sad ending, but this is supposed to be a rom-com.
Well, many predicted the cancer storyline, so I was kind of prepared, but I feel so sad for the FL. Even if she is not gonna die (please don’t!) her illness sounded really bad. I hate the ex-boyfriend he is so unlikeable, put him on a plane as soon as possible! I really hope it will be a happy ending, because in the Salon Drip interview they promised a “healing” drama so fingers crossed!
Okay, so am I the only one who feels like that even Seok ryu has been in love with Seoung hyu all along? Like…
I agree! At the swimming competition it was so obvious that she liked him, but something must have happened after the accident. If I remember correctly she said to the class that she studied English with someone who wanted to go the US. Maybe there is more to that story. Maybe it was Seounghyu, but for some reason he changed his mind. I’dont know but I’m pretty sure that she liked him at some point.
