How is the rating so high?
The story started off well. I was hooked on episode 1, but then by episode 4 it lost me. I got to episode 10 and was absolutely confused by what was going on. The second lead couple have more chemistry than the main couple. Its not because of how the characters were written (boring), maybe it was the director. Maybe the actors. I had a hard time believing they actually liked eachother. There's nothing anyone can say that could convince me this show deserves more than a 6 rating. The production value is good, music is good. The actors are good looking, but not good enough to overlook the actual acting. Was this review helpful to you?
I've watched quite a few Thai dramas over the last couple of years and many of them have a recurring theme of "slap-kiss-revenge". Most Thai dramas have cliches, predictability, and their quality isn't always the best. Despite that, I keep watching more and more lakorns because overall they can be quite entertaining. Huajai Sila is honestly one of the best shows I've ever watched, not one of the best Thai shows, but overall one of the best shows I've ever watched. The villains of the show are perfectly evil in the sense that their character's actions elevate the tension and drama, they had no redeeming qualities about them which is why despite them being evil I loved their characters because I loved hating them. Sila's character was very macho, at times rude, but you can't help but fall in love with him anyway. Mingta is sweet, naive, and at times too nice, but I understand why her character needed to be that way. This show is full of drama and progressively gets better and better, there's never a point where I thought "this is kinda boring." If you haven't watched it you need to watch it.
