"Secret Love Affair" has an EXCELLENT choice of actors: Yoo Ah-in and Hee-ae, huge age gap, but Kim Hee-ae has a teenage girlish body, spirit of a teenager, acting is fantastic, amazing, supper, supper! Nobody has surpassed her acting ever since in such movies (20-year age gap). Yoo Ah-in' s acting skills are superb! ANY drama/movie he is in, it's a masterpiece of acting! Charisma, acting skills, convincing love and...classical music + compassion make this love story and the drama THE DRAMA OF THE CENTURY! I have watched it numerous times, I guess more than 10 times already, still keep it on my favorite list AND STILL WATCH it once in a while. I spent all night watching it for the first time and I cried! Later I watched again and again and still can't stop enjoying it. The music goes so deep into your heart, stays there, rings in your ears forever, and you can't forget it. LOVE THIS DRAMA FOREVER! "
Dating in the Kitchen is the heck of a good drama! I enjoyed it so much that watched it several times!!! Lin Yu Shen is absolutely perfect! He pinned this role!!! Absolutely pinned it! This is the BEST drama about the food and the kitchen! The food cooking and Lin Yu Shen tasting it were fantastic scenes! His face was so eloquent, worth of million words. Together with Lusi they make a perfect couple! Oh! And the scene when he, stepping on a chair, helps her to get something from a high shelf and she is below gets enveloped in his long coat he is wearing is really the best of the best scenes!
Every role of You Ah In is a masterpiece, just unforgettable, incredible masterpiece. He can be so smart, so dumbfounded, so sexy, ...lovable ... you name it - he is the best at any of his roles! He is so different in "Hellhound" that I barely recognized him at first. All his roles are so good, so heart touching that stay in your heart forever, but my favorite is Secrete Affair. I watched it SEVERAL times; he is so sexy in this one. In Burning he is in love and is shaken to his bones by a psycho to the point that is capable of killing when loses his loved one. And this happens naturally, without any scruples or hesitation. After watching it, I am shaken myself, had to take some time to breathe. The info about him in Wikipedia is ENDLESS, so impressive that keeps you at awe and shocked for a long time! His rewards is another big, shocking surprise that keeps him in your heart for a long time and makes you search for dramas he is in!
Chen FeiYu is amazing! I was absolutely caught by his acting skills and the whole Ever Night drama! It was so good and so heart touching! But when I got to S2 Ep 1 and found out he was replaced I nearly cried, it was like a bolt from the blue sky!!! AND I QUIT WATCHING AFTER 10 MIN. NOBODY CAN REPLACE HIM!!! NOBODY!!! THE DRAMA EVER NIGHT S2 IS LOST WITHOUT HIM!!! DOESN'T EXIST! I'd rather rewatch S1. Now I am watching Awakening drama because of Chen Fei Yu. This drama is identical to Ever Night. He is kinda a little bit different in Awakening and I think Ever Night is his best so far. I am not alone who likes him so I hope he will stay popular and attract many fans because of his good acting skills. He is only 22 (was 17 at the time of filming Ever Night) and I am amazed. Good luck, Chen Fei Yu! Good Luck! LOVE YOU! LOVE YOU!
The second season, despite the change in the lead actress, does follow the novel quite well. It's not its own…
My comment is not about the novel, I didn't read the novel, but unfortunately all dramas BASED on any novel do not follow the novel word by word, or chapter by chapter. My comment is about the new actress who doesn't fit the character right, it was an incorrect choice (whatever the reason is). It would be better if they shoot a different drama with Dylan Xiong, but they rushed to shoot a sequal because of the SUCCES of season one... and failed
This drama was lighthearted and sweet, the lead couple was adorable and charming to watch till last two episodes. Like a bolt from the blue sky the lead female SECRETLY leaves her sweet boyfriend FOR TWO YEARS kinda sacrificing herself for the sake of her mother. And this ruins the charm and sweetness of the WHOLE drama; she leaves her sweet and charming boyfriend at the very crucial and important moment in his life, right in the middle of his presentation!!! (sounds like betrayal: as if she couldn't leave two hours later or the next day). So in last two episodes at a blink of an eye charm of sweet love, loveliness of the adorable couple, and charisma between them ALL ARE GONE!!! And when she comes back, they get married but RUSH (???) the wedding ceremony (which we were impatiently anticipating) END THE CEREMONY ABRUPTLY bcz some "bug" has been discovered in the software he'd developed (ridiculous, as if they couldn't deal with it a couple of hours later). So last two episodes were the most DISAPPOINTING and SAD and ruined our expectations of the sweet end. There was none!!!
All four dramas are the best of the best of all Chinese dramas of all times! So sweet and good in nature that make you watch them again and again! I've watched "Put You Head on My Shoulder" SEVERAL TIMES AND STILL GO BACK SOMETIMES AND WATCH IT AGAIN. Zhao Qian Qian you deserve a reward from the government of China- YOU ARE THE SAVIOR OF THE NATION!
I am watching "The Love Equations" and the lead character's phrase (Simon Gong as Zhao Fan Zhou) "I will follow your instructions" to the girl he loves (and that is about looking for a cat, which any guy would think would be stupid). The phrase is so sweet that reminded me about a similar one of another lead character, Gu Wei Yi, in the drama "Put Your Head on My Shoulder." The similarity struck me and I thought that should be the same script writer! Wow! and I AM NOT MISTAKEN! THIS IS HER: Zhao Qian Qian. Believe me she is my favorite script writer. I also watched "A Little Thin Called Love" and "A Love is so Beautiful" THESE ARE ALL MASTERPEICES! SO SWEET, Finally (I mentioned already in my comments) without girl/woman emotional, physical abuse, without violence, hysterical arguments, or drinking alcohol. In Zhao Qian Qian's dramas guys are REAL MEN, AND GIRLS ARE REAL GIRLS DEPICTED AS THEY SHOULD BE ACCORDING TO NATURE. Thank you! Thank you! Zhao Qian Qian! LOVE YOU, LOVE YOU! LOVE YOU FOREVER!
"Put your head on my shoulder" One of the reasons this drama is so good is the lead character Gu Wei Yi is A REAL MAN! He makes his own decisions, he loves dearly, and HE IS THE INITIATOR, (not the girl, who is THE RECEIVER by nature), HE makes his first move towards the girl, HE confesses first. That's why this drama stands high above all C and K-dramas in which girls take the initiative out of men's hands and chase them, which means a man cannot be A MAN! By nature a man has to chase a girl, not visa versa. Girls ARE also aggressive and hysterical in those dramas (with an aggressive, hysterical woman a man is not a man anymore, he is a vegetable and the nation is bound for an extinction), girls confess first, they kiss the guys first, they invite them on a date first, they (I call it) sink in drinking, collapse like garbage right in the street, and the "good guys" pick them up and take them home. Script writers are cultivating a MISLEADING MOTIVATION for female aggressiveness by creating a MISCONCEPTION that as a result of heavy drinking (a drinking girl/woman cannot produce healthy children) and FEMALE aggressiveness so desirous LOVE WILL POP UP and the girl will get married to a prince and will live happily ever after (impossible for an aggressive, hysterical or an alcoholic girl/woman). FINALLY NOTHING LIKE THAT IN THIS DRAMA! WE HAVE THE REAL MAN HERE AND THE GIRL IS JUST WAITING FOR HIS FIRST MOVE: that's what makes a man a MAN and a girl a REAL GIRL: A MAN'S INITIATIVE TO PURSUE THE GIRL. THIS DRAMA STANDS OUT HIGH! The cast is wonderful, the leading couple is wonderful, parents are wonderful. THERE SHOULD BE SEASON TWO OR EXTRA MAYBE 50 MORE EPISODES! And at the end the phrase "Everything about you is in my plan" is a killer phrase, just a killer! The script writer deserves a reward just for this one phrase.
"Put Your Head on My Shoulder" Wow! This is an amazing, perfect love drama! Amazing! Every episode is soooo good and wonderful; just about human relationship, about LOVE! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Screenwriter, Zhao Qian Qian, you did an excellent job! This is a masterpiece! Believe me, i have watched tons of Chinese and k-dramas, I ADMIRE YOU, Zhao Qian Qian, BECAUSE you managed to capture real life story and touched the heart of the viewers. THANK YOU FOR THE DRAMA (finally) without brutal fighting, vicious emotional and physical abuse, and WITHOUT (I CALL IT) SINKING IN DRINKING AND COLLAPSING RIGHT IN THE STREET, LIKE GARBAGE (which is the major problem with Chinese dramas)! THIS DRAMA STANDS OUT HIGH! The cast is wonderful, the leading couple is wonderful, parents are wonderful. THERE SHOULD BE SEASON TWO OR EXTRA MAYBE 50 MORE EPISODES!
