I am not sure why sponsors withdrew from supporting this drama.I can only think that there is a sense of shame.There are a lot of Japanese children in orphanages ,but most of them re not really orphans.Many go into such places because the family can no longer care for them.Like the prostitute.Economic circumstances and such.Having adopted from this country I can see that the caregivers in the real orphanages would be upset. there is however an enormous stigma on these children.They get released from these places at the ripe age of only 17.With little to no education they have no future.
The care they get is minimal in this drama.But there is care.They get food ,shelter and basic needs taken care of. See it as a drama with a sense of truth....
