For me, it was just something new to watch on Viki and add some white noise while doing some tedious work. I knew Fei Liu from Nirvana in Fire was in it and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Zhao Lusi was in it too. Very little expectations. But I got hooked from episode 1 and next thing I knew I had binge watched all 9 available episodes in one sitting.

Is it good? I don't think I want to start watching yet another drama that is still airing. It's too difficult to wait for the next episodes!

So other than reading through every post in this MD forum twice, watching all the clips about your CP on YouTube, Weibo, doyen, etc., and stalking instagram and twitter for previews, what are you all doing to tide yourself over until Monday? I'm running out of ideas LOL.

I feel like at this stage she doesn't realize the full extent of the changes within herself. She still thinks that she likes Shu Yu out of habit, but that's just a puppy love that she has outgrown and she doesn't even know yet. She certainly has developed feelings for Hao Du but because they are so subtle, it is difficult for her to be aware of it. You can tell she cares for Hao Du because she wants him to stop avoiding her in that scene by the fields. She eventually comes to understand the difference between puppy love and true love :).

Oh okay. I must have missed that since I only watch HaoYan scenes and fast forward through everything else LOL.

Exactly. And just like Chang Ge said, take out the fire first, then we can deal with the marriage issue afterwards. It's not like the Emperor would have forced Shu Yu to marry Leyan if he did not want to.

I don't know if that's just the poster coming up with fanfic or if it's real, but if it's true, you know, PRIORITIES. LOL. Our Hao Du has his priorities straight. Besides, he fought damn hard he deserves his reward. Lollllllllllllls.

If that's true, I wonder that's why Hao Du gets arrested and put in prison? There's a clip of Hao Du bound up and imprisoned.

I agree! And to think that he has no formal acting or singing training. Natural talent. I'm looking forward to seeing him improve with more experience.

That was typical for his character. He's passive aggressive and weak and can't take a strong stance on anything. He waffles between this and that and in the end never does or gets anything. At least other characters take a stance or clearly pick a side. They might be misguided and make mistakes, but at least they don't waffle.
