On The Kidnapping Day Sep 26, 2024
The first half of the series is amazing and was a 10/10 for me, mainly because it's focused on the adorable developing relationship between our two main leads (dad-daughter vibes, found family trope, they're just the cutest 🥺). The second half is more focused on mystery/crime/action etc., which is still well done but there weren't enough scenes with our main duo which dragged the overall show slightly down to a 9/10 for me. Still would highly recommend!

watched 8 episodes and then skipped to the last one. I didn't like it: it was too boring for me, it is a not lighthearted…
just to offer an alternative perspective, im also a big fan of lighthearted romance but i love this show it's one of my favourite shows ever, the main couple is just too wholesome

it's definitely heavy like you say but the cute scenes are super cute imo (Cute Scene Tracker, if anyone wants to watch just those: eps 4 and 6-8 have some cute scenes interspersed with angst; ep 12 is my favourite episode, it's adorable af by this show's standards 🥰; ep 13 has some cute scenes too; the rest of the show is mostly well-written pain/angst😭)

I wanna watch Love Next Door so badly, but I've been scarred too many times so have to wait until it finishes😭😭😭😭
It's a healing drama / romcom lol I'm pretty sure it won't have a traumatic ending
On Our Beloved Summer Dec 23, 2023
Just here for my 3-monthly rewatch, don't mind me (p≧▽≦)p Reasons why I adore this show: The main couple is adorable and incredibly well-written, all the characters are treated with so much care, PLUS this show's atmosphere is unmatched, featuring one of my favourite soundtracks ever. Also, it has THE most precious set of parents I've seen in any kdrama period. Everything about this show screams "comfort drama" I love it SO much :D

(note: it's very slice-of-life-ey and character-driven, so there's not necessarily a whole lotta "plot" in the conventional sense of the word, it's mostly delving into our MCs' pasts and personalities and the reasons for the choices they've made and how they grow and change as time passes while treating us to a deep-dive of their relationship, so if that's not your cuppa tea you might be better off looking elsewhere since there's a possibility you might find it boring uvu, but if you enjoy/don't mind the genre or are happy to try something new you just might enjoy it a fair bit^^)
On When I Fly Towards You Dec 20, 2023
Title When I Fly Towards You Spoiler
What I liked:
- For the 1st 3 eps the main couple's relationship seemed a lil unbalanced like their interactions seemed slightly one-sided (bc he barely talks lol), but 4th ep onwards after we got to see a bit more of the main lead's perspective and home life i started to fall in love with them as a duo lol hes so starved of positive interactions at home and shes so kind and supportive and wholesome towards him, i was like I SEE THE VISION hahaha 🥰🥰🥰
- The main friend group dynamics are amazing, wholesome and cute and funny af
- 2nd couple dynamics were super cute, bickering tease-ey friends to sloooowly something more😊
- Both of the main leads are equally down bad for each other, obv from the female lead's side bc she's so blatant about her simping hahah but as the show goes on we get more and more evidence he cares just as much it's rly cute. also they go on so many unofficial dates before theyve even gotten together it's fabulous haha
- 3rd male lead is a delight, v dorky v outgoing v good boi, he doesnt get a full time romantic partner (which the show pokes fun at in the final ep when his 2 pairs of friends are handholding on either side of him and hes like tf have i gotten myself into hahaha) but we do get a v touching backstory with him and his grandma which was so insanely wholesome man 😭😭😭everytime they wre on screen tgt i was just🥺🥺
- The show sidestepped a lot of annoying cliches which I wanna give it credit for - e.g., zero love triangles!!! one ep introduced a female primary school friend but she turned out to be super sweet and supportive of the main couple it was so cute lol. Overall, after getting together officially, both leads so quickly and efficiently shut down any potential suitors it's awesome and kinda hilarious in a meta way lol i love them sm (theyre just like miss me with that miscommunication angst😤😤). Mind you there was a short stretch in eps 15-16 where they werent talking to each for dumb reasons but it was the only time it happened and they are still obv high schoolers so i forgave em HAHA
- OST is insanely good. v chill, v poppy, fit the scenes so well. there were also some familiar soundbites from weightlifting fairy kim bok joo too hahaha which i adored (including the iconic "WHAT" lmaoo)

Nitpicks:
- Male lead's acting was a bit TOO reserved occasionally, obv it's his personality but yea could've used a few more words outta him at times lol, it's why i LOVED the final ep so much, showing him vlogging and sharing his thoughts it was so frickin wholesmoe i died😭😭 mind you as the show goes on esp as an adult he gets more spontaneous and open with his feelings which is perfectly believable so again it's just a minor nitpick
- 2nd couple could've used more screentime development together bc they were sooooooo cute tgt (esp showing the audience how her feelings towards him slowly changed like the show implied it mainly but just a few more lines of her thoughts would've done wonders imo - they did a great job on his end!)

What I didn't like:
- Male lead's mom, legit wanted to slap her every time she came on screen 😭😭😭 EASILY the worst thing about the show. thankfully maybe the showrunners guessed how much the audience was gonna dislike her character as she straight up disappeared from the show after episode 15 LMAO good riddance 🥰🥰
- That's it honestly XD

Overall:
Super likeable show. Sweet af. Diabetes. Eps 19-20 and 23-24 were my favourites😊 8.5/10 for me. Def rewatching some eps when i need a pick-me-up and hunting down the OST on spotify☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

Title Meet Yourself Spoiler
The first episode had me on a chokehold! But as much as i appreciated the rural life scenery and the healings…
very fair opinion! it's a long show, the slice-of-life/healing/slow burn genre isn't for everyone haha, 40 (albeit 45min) eps of character focused episodes with not much "plot". but yeah for anyone who enjoys this genre this drama hits like crack lol i love it sm🥹

also just for me i personally loved their chemistry, both as cute friends for like the first 20 eps who tease each other and later on as a couple as they slowly catch feelings for each other (though the slow burn is more on her end, my bois clearly down bad like 10 eps in lol whereas it takes her a while longer which makes total sense given her circumstances). they also have THE most adorable relationship with the ML's grandma - watching those 3 in particular interact makes me so happy they're so frickin wholesome man😭😭🥺🥺🥰🥰

On Twenty Five Twenty One Sep 6, 2023
Loved the show, saw the ending coming, heartbreaking and really well-written :'D

I will say that adult Hee Do rubbed me the wrong way a little, she just seemed so uncaring about her past like no way you forgot about Yi Jin bruh stop the cap

On Welcome to Waikiki Season 2 Dec 28, 2020
Watched this without watching the first one (because i saw a comment saying this one had more romance XD) AND I LOVED IT ???

IT'S SO CUTE, THE 6 MAIN CHARACTERS ARE ALL SO LOVABLE AND I AAAAAAAAAA. I love it sm. It's at times touching, hilarious, and wholesome as frick, and the "waikiki" theme song is so damn catchy it's been in my head for the past 12 hours LOL

the actors are really really good. seon ho is obvious but but omg everyone's so talented, lee yi kyung and shin hyun soo are amazing in their roles, the chemistry is off the charts. the relationships were super duper cute, too.

awwwh. such an adorable show ??. 9/10.
