Episode 9 completely ruined Prem's character for me. She chose her abusive, manipulative, bigoted parents over…
Honestly, if I were Pat's dad, I think that my emotions would have gotten the better of me outside the operating room. I likely would have shunned Prem for breaking my daughter's heart.
sorry for saying this guys for me prem is not a red flag but she is a red leaffffffAnd if I were in prem place…
Episode 9 completely ruined Prem's character for me. She chose her abusive, manipulative, bigoted parents over Pat. Instead of being a strong female character, Prem ended up being a submissive daughter. When Prem saw that bruise on her mom's body, she should have called the police on her father, not broken up with her girlfriend. I suspect that Prem's dad has been beating her mom for years, and that her mom has been hiding a lot of bruises from Prem. Having a gay daughter is just his newest "excuse" to do so.
I really wish that Prem could have seen that her parents needed her far more than she needed them. If they disowned her, so what? Prem still has Pat, Pat's parents, Bow, Sita, Tan, and Ticha. Prem is still a doctor who clearly makes a lot of money.
It makes no sense that Tulip is the one suffering and her dad still gets to live his life peacefully
This show suffers from the same problem as GMMTV's GL series Us: both patriarchs lost their families, but neither of them went to jail for their crimes. And Tulip's mom should be in jail too for helping cover it all up.
I agree. And if there's a 2nd season, then I really hope that she'll get more screen time. It would also be great if we could finally meet her girlfriend. Perhaps they could become the show's secondary/supporting couple.
Pat is my favourite GL character of 2025. Angelina "Jayna" Stevens has great screen presence. It amazes that this was her first acting role, and yet she was able to create a character who was both creepy and lovable. I just couldn't help but root for Pat in her relentless pursuit to win over Prem's heart.
And Pat's parents might be my favourite supporting GL characters of 2025. I love how supportive they were of Pat and Prem's relationship, and how they called out Prem's "dad" for the narrow-minded bigot that he is.
I think the thing that might scare me the most is that we'll never truly know what happened to Boon.
Is her soul/consciousness/spirit still trapped in her body, which is now fully controlled by Kwan? Does she have to just helplessly watch while Kwan tortures and kills Win, Win's parents, Boon's mom, and who knows how many other people?
And what about Kwan's monk brother? By encouraging Win and Boon to burn down the house, was he truly trying to help his sister rest in peace, or was he trying to help ensure that his sister could keep tormenting all reincarnations Korn and Thamon?
not people saying boon and win deserved it for what they did, boonwin did NOTHING wrong man that was korn and…
That up close shot of Boon creepily looking at the camera and laughing will no doubt be showing up in my future nightmares. I literally felt like she was going to come through my TV screen and start strangling me.
It truly feels suffocating to know that all of Korn and Thamon's reincarnations will be forced to suffer at the hands of Jomkwan. And the more Jomkwan tortures and kills them, the more she's going to enjoy it. And yet, I think that this bleak and horrifying ending is part of why Runaway is such a great horror show.
As much as I loved seeing Claire and Bell reunite at the end, I'm quite sad that I didn't get to see a similar scene with Deedee and Porsche. Deedee was arguably the primary antagonist in the show's 1st half, but Porsche somehow managed to bring out the absolute best in her during the 2nd half.
Netflix will get thai dramas and movies every now and then here in the sates but I remember when this one started…
This and Love Design both felt similar to Netflix productions, and would have been perfect for the streaming platform. Sadly, here in Canada, the only available Thai GL drama is Reverse 4 You.
This is one of the best TV shows that I've ever watched!!!
It's well written, acted, directed, and produced. The 2 leads were great, and so were the entire supporting cast (especially Deedee and Porsche). Heck, even the product placement (Farmhouse bread) was included in a funny way, providing the show with some much-needed comic relief.
It breaks my heart to know that this masterpiece will probably never get the recognition it deserves. Sadly, here in Canada, Thai dramas just don't get the attention that K-dramas do, and major streaming platforms like Netflix just don't seem to be willing to invest in them.
I definitely would have preferred to see their actual wedding, and it would have been great to see Pat's awesome parents one last time, but I enjoyed it overall. "So This Is Love" is one of my favourite songs of 2025, and getting to hear everyone sing an acoustic version of it was definitely the highlight of the episode for me.
And it sounds like Pat and Prem are getting ready to expand their family. Why do I get the feeling that Prem is about to start raising a little Pat?
P.S. I must confess that I can't even remember those 2 other guys who were in the final scene. Were they in the show's 10 mainline episodes, and I've just forgotten about them? Or were they in the book, and were just randomly brought into the show at the last minute?
P.P.S. It's also odd how Prem mentioned Dr. Lada here, and yet she never mentioned her even once in the 10 mainline episodes.
Despite ALL of its flaws, I enjoyed it overall, largely due to the excellent chemistry between the 2 female leads, Lena (my fellow Canadian) and Miu (one of GL's most gorgeous actresses).
I've been told that Channel 3 is a very conservative TV network (correct me if I'm wrong), so the fact that they're airing Girl Love dramas at all is definitely a step in the right direction. But I still do wish that they would hire better writers for their GL shows, rather than rely on the LingOrms and the LenaMius to do all the heavy lifting and carry these shows for them.
the amount of times they played the ost during this show makes me literally hate the song now
Dangerous Queen still takes the cake. Practically every time that Bo cried, and practically every time that she and Queen just stared at each other in slow motion, I had to hear that same depressing song.
I'm about to start binge-watching ClaireBell. Before I do, I have to ask: will this show make me cry, like the final 3 episodes of Poisonous Love did? I certainly hope so!!!
In my opinion, this drama fell short of its potential. One positive was the eye candy with our two very pretty…
Prem was frustrating in those final episodes. I wanted to see her become a strong female character. Instead, I had to see her become a submissive daughter, who chose her abusive/manipulative/homophobic parents over the love of her life. She should have called the cops on her dad when she saw those bruises on her mom's body. Instead, she chose to just break up with Pat. When Prem's parents told her that Pat was dead, she just believed them, and didn't even question why they wouldn't let her leave the house or contact anyone with her cellphone. She should have been furious when she found out that her parents had been lying to her about Pat's fate. Instead, she chose to instantly forgive them when she saw that Pat was indeed alive.
I really wish that Prem could have seen that her parents needed her far more than she needed them. If they disowned her, so what? Prem still has Pat, Pat's parents, Bow, Sita, Tan, and Ticha. Prem is still a doctor who clearly makes a lot of money.
