"Its possible jin goo was busy so they filmed all his scenes in one go." Yeah but since it was just his voice they wouldn't have needed him there. I think it's more likely to do with KSH's schedule.
You're right about the tonal shift. I think episodes 1-6 were untouched. What's weird though is that I can still identify what I think was the original plot up to and including episode 12. It's like episodes 1-6 are the original plot, episodes 7-9 show hints of the new plot, episode 10-12 show hints of the old plot, and episodes 13-16 are the new plot.
"If he isn't angsting he is eavesdropping. Such a turn off to have a BF who likes to listen in on to other people's conversation." LOL
This comment is for those of you who are still with me on the plot change train.
I just read that the scene in episode 13 in which Yeongsil advises HJP to make a move was filmed out of order. They filmed it around the same time episode 4 was airing. I also noticed HJP's hair is pre time jump even though the scene is post time jump. Either they placed it in episode 13 when it was originally part of a different episode, or episode 13 was originally pre time jump. My guess is the latter. I know it's pointless trying to figure it out, but the story feels so unresolved that I can't stop my brain from mulling it over.
Wow.I never visited the comment section after ep 9 or 10 but wow.I never expected it to escalate to this. I'm…
It's true that the drama spent most of its time building up Dodal, but for a long time it had the potential to go in the other direction. Moreover, many of us believe that the other direction made way more narrative sense. The second half of the drama just doesn't gel well with the first half, and Dodal became increasingly forced. I don't know how far down you read, so maybe you already saw this comment, but here's my explanation for why most of us were shipping Jidal:
For people still confused by the lack of support for the main couple, let me explain what I think it comes down to. For the first 9 episodes the story is centred around two things: a case of mistaken identity and SDM's journey as a CEO. HJP was her real pen-pal/first love and he's also SDM's business mentor. As both the real writer of the letters and the person who helps her navigate through business, HJP is more relevant to the plot than NDS. NDS simply served to 'get in the way' of her and HJP and to provide a company for SDM to 'hijack' (the writer apparently preferred to use a shortcut rather than show SDM starting from scratch). In a drama about the female lead's journey as a CEO, her relationship with her business mentor was always going to be more important than her office romance with a guy she believes is someone else, especially when that someone else is none other than the aforementioned mentor.
Forget KSH, I hope NJH will hurry up with his next drama so his fans can move on. I mean they got their ending, so can't they just let the rest of us hate it? I'm kind of joking, but I'm kind of not. Ignore me NJH fans, I'm in a bad mood because I'm hungry.
Well I can't say whether or not I hope he does it because I've no idea what this drama will be like. If he does do it, I hope it has some kind of edge to it and that it isn't full of cutesy scenes.
I hope KSH does somewhat more mature dramas than this one in the future. I think he's way better in more serious roles, and I want to be able to enjoy his next drama. His role in this one was good, but the rest of the drama was too fluffy for my taste. It's not that I necessarily only want to see him in dramas like Mother or My Mister (although that would make me ecstatic), but I find that if they get any lighter than dramas like Cloy or Goblin, they just don't hold my attention. Also, I've seen all his dramas and I actually wasn't impressed by his acting in the lighter/sillier roles. I think he's just one of those actors who really needs something to bite into. My worry is that his agency will advise him to do rom-coms because that's the genre of the drama that made him popular. If he does do a rom-com, I hope it at least has an edge to it.
IA. KSH would've aced this role, and the premise while funky could've been exciting. But now that he's declined…
I agree with you but isn't this all just rumours? Maybe KSH was never offered to begin with. His agency confirmed that he was interested in Mr Hong, but they didn't do that with Link. Or am I not up to speed?

Lol, I find this last comment very relatable. I often end these things abruptly as well; I either lose stamina or I just really need to do something else. Bye then.

"Are you guys seriously making this a competition?" That sounds pretty annoyed. It wasn't a genuine question so don't pretend it was.
In your original comment you specified that FOR YOU there was no competition, which implies that you're aware there is competition. Again, you're pretending you said something else.
That the second male lead likes the female lead on his own, and that it's always done that way, are not good reasons to prefer the first male lead. And anyway, HJP is more like the first male lead than NDS for the first 9 episodes.

I'm only one person so I don't know why you addressed me as 'you guys'. Please explain to me the point of your comment if it wasn't to compete. You made a point of saying that you don't understand the fuss about HJP, but you clearly weren't just expressing curiosity. You also made a point of saying that you prefer NDS, and that for you there's no competition between him and HJP. That implies that you think there is competition. But now you're getting mad at me for being competitive.
I don't understand the fuss about Han Ji Pyeong. Honestly, his behaviour annoys me through the show. There isn't…
Thank you for your contribution. Just 993 more comments to go before we reach 30,000 (actually, 992 once I've posted this one). HJP fans are the most generous contributors but it's always nice to see the odd NDS fan doing their part.
Just wanna ask you guys which drama you prefer for KSH next?Mr. Hong with Shin Min AhLink with Moon Ga Young?
That's hard. I prefer the sound of Link to Mr Hong, but I also prefer SMA to MGY. I think I'd prioritise the plot and the role over the pairing, so I guess I'll say Link with MGY. If he does do Mr Hong, I hope it won't be a typical rom-com. If it's a bit more sophisticated than usual, and if SMA is cast alongside him, then that would be perfect.
Yeah but since it was just his voice they wouldn't have needed him there. I think it's more likely to do with KSH's schedule.
