Sand is all talk......he has not once stuck to anything he said he was going to do the whole series. He is very easily swayed and i think that is what they are trying to show. Sand may be deeply in love with Ray but he personality flaw means that he can still be swayed even if its just to talk to Boeing

I didnt see it that way. That was always Sands dream both Boeing and Ray decided to make it their dream as well.
Ray has no dreams of his own. He never thought his life was worth living so why have a dream. He even said in the earlier episodes he wasnt really into music and all the records at his house were his moms. Ray still doesnt know who he wants to be as a person that isnt actively ruining his life. This is why I actually think that none of them should end up together and the title should hold true...Only Friends until they all get therapy and mature more
