I will set the scene for you.....We are throwing a massive party for his Grandma's 80th. The theme is flowers because her birthday is in May and she loves to garden. I went all out making custom table settings, I made all the flower displays. I spent hours sourcing photos of her at different ages and getting them blown up for display. The cake was designed to look like a basket full of flowers. So the last thing was to get her a new outfit for the party, including shoes.........Now we were definitely in the mature woman footwear section and when I tell you his eyes lit up like fireworks at getting to help me pick out shoes for his grandma! Not gonna lie, I picked a pair he seemed least interested in because i was worried he would be lusting after his grandmas shoes on the day!

I don't think it made me any cooler but it did make me the person everyone felt they could talk to about not being "Normal". They know that I never judged anyone for that type of thing so I am usually the person at the party hearing about someone being gay or trans or into something they are worried people will find out about. I enjoy being a safe space for people. Unless you hate on Playboyy then dont come to me for understanding because I will cut you!

When I saw the first picture I thought oh he must have saved this in the wrong folder (not questioning why he would save a picture of a penny loafer to begin with).......but then there were more! Oh another thing that used to catch me out is Pants. To me Pants = Trousers. UK Pants = Underwear or something crappy.

FACTS!!!!!! I lived in the North of Scotland when i first moved to the UK and it was like a whole new language some times! Not just the accents they have their own slang and trying to learn that was hard. Pissed in the UK means drunk. Pissed where i am from in the states means Angry. So i would say im pissed off and they would be like you were drunk???? The struggle was real some times!
