I mean literally ASun went from splashing wine onto Changge’s injured shoulder to getting so freaken worried…
Omg same here!! My parents were the reason I got into Asian dramas. I remember when I was a little girl, my mom would come home from the Asian market with new VHS dramas to watch, and they would play it in the living room all the time and sometimes I would be eating down in the kitchen and would get sucked into it and became hooked. I think the drama that got me completely hooked for years to come was My Fair Princess (1998) to this day, My fair princess is my top of the list classic drama of all time. Too bad there’s no more of those VHS stores anymore. Those were my childhood memories

Trust me, if it wasn’t for this forum, I seriously would have thought I went crazy lol. It feels reassuring knowing that many of us is on the same boat. Idk what kind of power this drama has, but it sure sucked us in good. and like you I have been watching c dramas more than 15 plus years and this is a whole new experience for me to be THIS obsessed over a drama. It’s bazaar!
Agreed on the Dilraba, I haven’t been too impressed with her other works either but this drama really show off her talent and I’m so happy for her and I hope more and better roles comes for her!

Ah, you are so right on my friend! those forehead kisses had so much meaning to me, to me it was more than just forehead kisses, it was the emotional connection that went with it. You cantell how much sun love, adores and respect Changge with just those forehead kisses. It almost better than an actual kiss on the mouth! Kiddos to the director for that!
The scene were Sun wanted to go with Changge to the temple, and Changge told him no because it’s not ideal since there’s only women there. So Sun said he’ll drop her off, and she pat his side head and asked when he became a follower, and he grabs her hand, looked at her in the eyes and slowly said the feeling of losing her...(didn’t finish his sentence) Changge pulled her hand away from his and he refocused and than said he’ll come pick her up. She replied with you act like I’m a child, and starts to walk away, Sun suddenly grabbed her hand again, and she looks at him and he said, I said, I’m coming to pick you up tonight, Changge annoyingly said okay and walks off while ASun smiled seeing her off....got me all giggly, blushing , and feeling butterflies in my tummy, as if my high school crush finally noticed me and said hi to me. These two gives me the warmest feelings with their interactions.
I can now understand the dilemma of the people undecided about whether Sher or MuJin for Mimi. Lol I get you but…
I really miss the time when the drama was airing and people would come and write their reactions to the episode. I find it very entertaining and feels really good knowing that many people had the same reaction as me. Thank you for this! It reminds me of the good ole days. I miss those days a lot. Although I watched Thea two episodes raw, I actually still haven’t watched the last two episode sub. I can’t bare to say goodbye, I’m saving The last two episodes for the rainy days
I’ve always been really big on romance in a drama, I live for it, I crave for it, I want it. I’m not too keen in slow burn romance as they frustrates me really bad. But THIS, The Long Ballad, has been the exception, and has open my perspective to a whole now type of romance.
Although GeSun didn’t have a ton of intimacy in their relationship, although they weren’t lovely dovey with each other, I was content with it. I didn’t mind, because although they weren’t as intimate with each other, they were intimate by their expressions, actions, and words. And that is enough to convince me the Undeniable chemistry they have for each other. I personally felt like their relationship was very natural, it gradually grows, progressive and feels very realistic to me. If anything, their type of romance had me craving for them even more. Any little touch they had, had me hyped up and even more excited to see them together. It had me paying attention to every little micro details when I see them on screen together.
This has never happen to me during my many years of watching c dramas and it quite surprised me how obsessed I am with this CP. I spends days wondering why that is and the only thing I can come up with is how much I appreciate the progression of their relationship, the mutual trust and respect, and the equality of their relationship. They truly are a very healthy couple, that I don’t see very often in c dramas. I am very happy and appreciate this type of slow burn romance. Slow burn romance for the win!! Sorry for the long rant, I was rewatching some of their clips and just had to write an essay on why I love them so much.
