And your analysis of chaofeng is exactly the same as mine. He’s a very grey character that is shape by his environment and actions are dependent on his survival. He grew up with his own family;(except his mom) his dad, stepmother, and brothers want him and his mom dead. So he had to do what he had to survive. when I read comments that some people hate or dislike him because he lies too much or always lying to Kui’er, it makes me sad because they seem to not understand the complexity of his character, but hey to each of their own. If anyone was able to forgive him, it was QingKui. She experienced the void realm, she knows how cunning and dangerous it can be. I cried because in one of the episode when she was yelling at him, she told him although he had lied many times to her, she knows his feelings is genuine, and he owes her his life. That was so QingKui, to be able to grasp the understanding of what happened and than forgive Chaofeng, that’s a deep intellectual characteristic to have.
