Yea I don’t know how I would have been able to handle no romance at all?!! Especially with how good their chemistry is?!? I would die. I’m glad they didn’t follow the manhua closely. Although manhua reader would disagree lol. But I think for drama audiences, they have a wider range of audiences to pleased so they can’t always go with how the novel is. The blue whispers is supposed to be another strong female lead role, a lot of anticipation for that drama to come out next year! Her character and emotions in that drama is even more complex than Changge. And The princess AnLe is another very powerful lead female role. So I think you’re right, this is her breakthrough for better and Stronger female lead roles. Thank goodness thou, cuz her other roles wasn’t too impressive, that’s why I didn’t think too much coming into this drama but she completely blew me away! I love her even more after TLB.

I heard in the manhua, their romance was little to nothing. They were more like “bromance” than romance. And just when the romance was finally starting to blossoms, that’s where the story ended *sign* we’ll never know what it could have been, but I’m so thankful for what the screen writer gave us in the drama thou. If they follow the manhua exactly, we would have no romance! Did you guys know in the manhua, Sun didn’t even find out she was a girl until the temple arc!!! In the drama he found out very early on. Thank goodness they didn’t drag that!

I’m not sure about the disease but I know that in the manhua, the plot where Changge surrender to Sun in the snow, she was actually bare foot when she walked out to surrender, thus causing her “pneumonia” which is what us Modern folks would call it. Therefore it caused this chronic cough and sometimes she cough so much that she’ll cough up blood. Sun biggest regret was letting her walk barefoot to surrender
