Once the decision was made to replace the actress and reshoot the drama, the director should have carefully considered all possible outcomes. After making that choice, they should stand by it and accept whatever results follow. If she/he regretted it that shows what a coward this director is.

When I watched the drama, I didn’t see anything that suggested HYX couldn’t act. Her performance felt natural, and she played the cutesy character very well. I have not came across any comments that HYX couldn't act from general people, that are not fan of the original actress.

I'm just going to accept whatever rating the drama gets right now. I wish it were doing better, but it uses old tropes typical of xianxia so i lost hope for higher rating. I just hope they can collaborate again in the future.

Here. In the book, Kunlun's name was Bai Ling. In their 2nd lifetime, and Hong Ning was called Xiao Ke. You need to read a few chapters to fully understand—it’s a beautiful love story.
Their 3rd life time, Jin Xiu killed Bai Ling (Kunlun) and he reincarnated as a human. Then they met again later after he reincornated into human (4th lifetime), but by then he was already married and had many concubines. He asked her to marry him and stay by his side, but she refused because she only wanted a love between one man and one woman.

I have a theory about why Jinxiu might kill her parents and Kunlun in the upcoming episodes. When Jinxiu met Hongning again in episode 13, he tried to drive her away from the academy. He did say that if their lives became intertwined again, Hongning would be in danger. In order to push her away, he may have killed the people close to her—hoping to make her angry and resentful toward him so she’d distance herself. Let’s see if this turns out to be true.

Congratulations!! He truly deserves it. He was so adorable when he portrayed Hongning. I first noticed and liked Liu Xueyi in A Moment but Forever, but after watching Love Never Fails, I’ve grown to really admire him as an actor.

Yes, they are love rivals for her in the book. However, Hongning didn’t realize Kunlun’s love for her until he was already killed by Jinxiu. After that, she began to deeply resent Jinxiu. Kunlun and Hongning were lovers in a past life in another timeline, though the book only briefly mentions this without going into much detail. The current Hongning didn't remembered Kunlun, but he remembered her.
However, based on the trailers and the episodes that have aired so far, it doesn’t seem like Kunlun and Jinxiu are love rivals in the drama adaptation.

I wish the production had kept everything as it was in the book, minus the inappropriate parts and the modern-world setting. It would have been much more interesting. When I first started reading the book, it was very engaging. But I stopped after reading spoilers about the later chapters and the ending. It would have been more compelling if they had kept Jinxiu and Kunlun as love rivals like in the book. Why did they change them into brothers?

Yes, that’s how Chinese dramas are produced. I wish Chinese productions were more efficient like Korean ones, focusing only on the important parts. I often wish Chinese dramas were shorter and more concise, while Korean dramas could be a bit longer.

In the drama, it's big gap, she's 500 years old; he's like 1000 years old. People tend to confuse drama's ages from the actors' real age.
