I felt way too attached to this drama because of how amazing Ram and King's storyline developed with so much depth, especially with Ram's home life. Like you said about the sister and the meta fan girls/BL tropes, not a highlight, but didn't take away from the sincerity of the couple for me.
I shied away from Mek and Boss' storyline because I thought it would be a cliqued one boy pining for another in a relationship and thought there is no way they would have more than two couples...and I was so wrong. I really enjoyed them after the big twist because they were a serotonin boost.
Was there another couple? The main couple who? Now that was a cliqued mess. If you take away all the jealousy plots...like seriously more than one is ridiculous...maybe redeemable. Jealousy plots are like the bargain bin trope to throw in conflict...and then two!? Bohn was creating drama on purpose, too, like when he would pretend to be upset and then wonder what the hell is wrong with Duen. They could not stand up to the other couples and felt like a harsh contrast.
Yes! I agree with all of this. I started watching for the main couple but ended up skipping through all their scenes for the second couple (which I felt kind of so-so about...like maybe something was missing even though I enjoyed them).
All these years after watching - even though it's a great drama overall - I mostly think about when Hakyeon (VIXX N) "accidentally" spilled his milk on a mean girl lol.
Based on the description I had no idea he was the second lead?! So excited for him to shine :) And I heard Jongho is funny role? I'm happy for anything!
