I'm up to ep 10 I don't like the story and FL character+performance but I'm only here for LXY modern drama and treat it as filler. People also have comment that this is just time filler drama while Tencent waiting to throw out the explosive JOL2 next week. It's FL centric story, the FL has the most screentime and the story focused on her two parallel lives. The ML LXY and two other MLs are just supporting roles to her. All characters are 🚩 and illogical except ML. This also can be heads up disclaimer for LXY fans who come here for him after the hype of In Blossom 😅.
Out of the two lines 'Leshan' and 'Shanghai', the Leshan line is a better story with a good and loving ML. The FL in 'Shanghai' line keep making illogical and annoying decisions that destroys FL and ML relationship. I don't know what they are writing.
I think I'll just fast forward for his parts and focus on my studies while waiting for LXY other dramas and LYF S2 and all those fox spirit series ❤️
The points are reducing because all of the characters except the ML LXY are 🚩🚩🚩, the plot are crazily exaggerated and the transitions between the two timeline are not good! The FL also cannot carry the FL centered drama with her state of acting skills. I feel sorry for other cast especially LXY but this drama is just a filler for him anyway. Let's all look forward to AMBF and KMLM

Yes he's the ML but actually the focus is the FL so it's not as good as dramas where LXY and FL are equals. That's why I just brush this as filller while waiting for the real bombs AMBF and KMLM. Modern dramas are not as pretty as costumes too

Btw LXY is a sweet angel in this show, he's gentle and and always want the best for FL, and his mother is so good and caring to FL too, I thought she will be a MIL from hell but no. Sorry but I found FL a bit selfish and only think of herself.
Some people speculate that the 'real' line is Leshan line where FL got together with the bf. But everytime she encounters disappointment in this line she will go to Shanghai line which was actually a parallel 'dream' line. It started to happen after she gave birth and misunderstood on ML(post partum depression?). Her work life in Shanghai could be a Mary-Sue manifestation of her mind and her wish to get a good career life but she never experiences the real Shanghai career life in reality, and the encounter with boss is her dream after reading his profile. But some how her 'dream' line will also be not so smooth 😂
