FL died in the novel ending, ML passed through her in someone's arm while she's weak in the snow but didn't notice its her so he didn't get to say goodbye. ML and FL didn't even get to confess their love to each other.

The novel fans said the novel can only last 7-8 episodes or a full length movie. It's fair enough that most of the plots in the novel will be expanded in details to fill 36 episodes. It's not a bad thing if they expand the ML(Huo Zanbai) because his part is small in the book although he's important. The melon that I heard from JZ fans is they will extend the 8 years of getting along between the ML and FL, where they grow from strangers to loving each other, and they might also extend the martial arts parts.
