I agree on all of this, and it's not that I don't understand Fang Xin's struggles, it's just that I really dislike that she is unable to communicate with her lover. The only thing I really disagree on is that Lu Ming is not manipulative. Because he absolutely is. He hid his real agenda, gave Fang Xin advice that he knew would sooner or later cause her and Yuan Song to break up. He infiltrated her family and often tricked her into couple-like events. If he wasn't manipulative, he would respect her being already taken, be honest about his feelings or at least he wouldn n´

I guess my biggest issue lies with Fang Xing. I know it's her first relationship, but a lot of decisions she makes could just be solved with common sense, and/or talking to your partner - what she literally never does. I find it extremely difficult to root for a women that praises herself being an adult but fails to communicate. Just based on that, Yuan Song seems so much more mature than her. It makes me sick, because I am watching Fang Xing getting hardcore manipulated by Lu Ming, and her relationship with Yuan Song therefore sees no real development. From the beging on, I felt that their relationship was too sudden and missing something, while we saw Yuan Song being shy and excited in her presence, it felt like for Fang Xing feelings only came because she slept with him. It makes me sick, because I am basically seeing Yuan Song getting used by her for love experience. This poor boy gives all of his heart to her, and she only thinks about how long she can keep him a secret until she has to break up with him. Not once so far has she envision a future with him, because she believes they have an expiry date. While I know that there have to be issues and conflicts to make it a story, I am just tired of the seemingly endless repetition of the same problems. Like I said, I am not even halfway through but I know that their relatioon´ Wether it's relatable or not, I find no fun in watching it.
I am really impressed by Lee Jae Wook, I think I've just coincidentally seen him in all of his latest works but he always stands out with his roles, and every character that he portrayed was very different but always very natural. Tho I guess I won't have SLS, I do like him a lot already.
I find it hard to rate this drama because there really is nothing special about it. like someone below said the idea was good, but the execution failed. The characters are not really distinctive, maybe only Holo himself, the romance was not developed at all really, suddenly they just liked each other, and the ending was rapped up so suddenly (thank god, tho) that it had me wondering what even happened all the 11 eps before. I actually think this would've been really nice as a movie, or just an special. The acting was good, there is nothing I can complain about, it's just right to mention that the best scenes and the best acting were by Lee Jung Eun, Seo Yeon's mother.
I'm ready for the third season, and I am pretty sure it was confirmed that Kwangsoo will be back, but now that he had an accident and needed surgery, I am not so sure. I hope he heals well and comes back even stronger.
Is there romance sub plot because damn they have more chemistry in that one promo picture than Joo Ji Hoon had with Yoon Eun Hye in the whole 16 eps of Goong.
For me "rich guy, poor women" dramas are the ones, where being poor is a significant part of her life or where their social class/financial difference is a hindrance to their relationship. and if that is not given, then there still has to be a cinderella effect at the end.

I didn't even remember if I liked it or not, my ratings told me.
