its so obvious that Soo chul is lashing out on Anna because he resents himself that he still has feelings for someone like his ex wife who abandoned him and his daughter. He says all this I hate you to Anna to convince himself that the woman he fell for again is not his Kim Ji young.
I do not think it would make it less hurtful to know the WHO Dandan's mother is because Dandan already knows the truth now but he still hides it why? because he knows Dandan is very fond of Anna and do not want to ruin this whole Anna's image for her.

The moment he fell for Anna kim I knew he had feelings for his Ji young because Anna felt familiar to him and women he actually loves. I have never seen a family drama where domestic violence was shown as openly as this on todays episode. This episode has me shocked. Although I think slap was needed to Anna.
