There are two plot points in EP 16 that I dislike the most. The first one is the needless death of Prince Buyeong's…
Mhmm I agree with everything you wrote! Big plot holes. The only one I can reason is LG being able to use the flute, I'm very sure that the director was trying to show that LR's blood was stained on the whole flute (because of that shot where the camera focused in on his bloody hands holding the flute), which gave LR possession and ownership over the whole flute. Therefore he was able to open the obelisk right before he died. But I think because he died in the end, the flute was "freed" in the sense and could choose a new owner, so LG', whose hands were also covered in blood, could grab it and command ownership over it. When the owner dies the flute is free, and can he possessed by someone new. This reasoning makes sense I think.

This show was disappointing on many many levels. The ending felt like...the writer just thought "oh shit it's ep16 alrd, need to end everything!!" And just wrote everything, plainly for the sake of ending the drama. It wasn't a horrid ending but very meh, like eating a chicken that's properly cooked but blandly seasoned. Nonetheless I'd still give it an overall rating of 6. The drama was overall bad for me, but I still think it has some strengths that I enjoyed! So tempted to give it a 3/4 out of 10 (and I never, ever give dramas a rating below 5...I'm not easily disappointed lmao) but I'll choose to leave it at 6/10, because of a few things:

- I really applaud the editors, videographers and people working on CG effects and all for this show... I'm not kidding when I say the filmography and graphics of this show are easily the best part. I'm impressed by how they film certain scenes, portray different vibes and all and the famous beautiful vacuum space always astounds me. So for that I think these behind-the-scenes staff deserve lots of recognition
- the show did interest me, and I did enjoy watching it because it kept me thinking and figuring out the mysteries along with the characters.
- the OSTs are pretty good!
- the side characters, man the side characters.... x10000 times better than the two main characters. Tbh i didn't care at all if the main leads ended up tgt, or if they died even. The other characters grew on me alot more

The show was disappointing because of the (as many have said) tons of plotholes. Also, I mentioned how much the side characters grew on me and I just feel the writer didn't justify any of them. Apart from Shinjae and Luna getting a better ending, I just wanted more scenes of characters like the PM, Lady Noh, LR, Eunsup and Nari, PM's mum, Tae-eul's dad...it feels like the writer didn't at all care about these characters, and onyl built the whole story around Tae-eul and Leegon. I know main leads are called "main" leads for a reason, but I think what makes a drama good is when the writer chooses to build on the supporting characters as well, giving them more story, screentime and character development — in the end, all the characters (not just the leads) contribute to the plot and helping to pull the audience into the show. Even though Shinjae got a happy ending I wished we'd seen more of him in ep16, less of Tae-eul and Leegon staring at each other and hugging and crying. I really didn't feel much chemistry between the leads, and couldn't sympathize with them much also. Didn't even care if the writer killed them off in the end or if they didn't end up tgt.

In the end, the ending wasn't great but it was better than what I expected anyway. I'm just so glad the show is over hahh

I thought he was in the Republic. I assumed that the street LR went to was close to where LG's 'mother' was. I…
Interesting. I think you're right about the Republic, cuz that's the only way to explain why they can't punish and kill on the spot. If they were in Corea, Lee Tim would've been sent to prison and beheaded without a problem, but they were in the Republic, so they couldn't punish him by legal means. (I only realised this after thinking about it more)

I don't think it's anything to do with LG's mum doppelganger though, but like u said, I think LR DID go out onto the street wanting to find LG to kill him. I think you're right about that, cuz that explains that he brought a rifle to shoot him (but that plan backfired).

Oh, and does anyone know WHY WOULD LR go out onto the street at that moment? I mean, clearly, for LG JY and SJ,…
HAHAHAHA. I laughed... Too bad for him then

In that scene end of ep15 when LG and LR met on the street, was in the Republic or Kingdom? Sorry am abit confused
Oh, and does anyone know WHY WOULD LR go out onto the street at that moment? I mean, clearly, for LG JY and SJ, they were trying to find LR. but right before that scene, when LR had been semi-poisoned in his house and time stopped, it seems like he knew LG was in the same country as him. Why, then, would he suddenly leave the house? And then complain about LG finding him. If he stayed at home LG would prob not have found him and he wouldn't be arrested, no?

List of Lee Rim's plans thus far and what they've amounted to.- Steal the manpashikjeok and overthrow his brother…
I agree! He started out truly promising and scary as a villain but got more lame towards the end of the show. I must say his looks are refreshing though hahaha.
And Eunsup did relay the message about the late mother's anniversary, he told it to Yeong, who told LG about it over the phone.

Could someone explain the last part of ep15? I don't get, after LG, LR Shinjae and JY were at the bamboo forest…
Thanks for explaining that last scene!!!! So basically after the two pieces are together once, they are considered "together" already so LG doesn't have to carry them around together after that also. Okay that makes sense.

I still think that LG and LR timetravelling part is weird but if I don't think too deeply into it it's fine. Thank you for the reply!

can't wait for this show to end honestly but it's really love-hate with this show. As annoyed as I get, I'm anxiously…
Fav scene in ep15 was ES-JY!!!!!! omg their parting scene was so cute man... But am I the only one wondering, since when was JY SOOO fond go ES? LOL I mean I'm sure they appreciate each other but the way JY hugged him...but nonetheless the scene made me smile! Really the best actors in this show are WDH and JEC.... I don't rly like the female leads acting much

Could someone explain the last part of ep15? I don't get, after LG, LR Shinjae and JY were at the bamboo forest and the special obelisk opened, what happened after? What does Tae-eul mean, when she said Shinjae has to keep LR for 48 hours? So who kept the two broken flute sticks? I thought LG took both, since in the calm vacuum space featured after he was holding both. But then Shinjae won't be able to enter with LR.

Also can't reason with the plothole that LR is technically dead since his 2020 self is killed. If you're saying they're different people, and even after his 2020 self is killed, his 1994 self continued living to present day 2020 — then it should be the same case for LG, and there should be 2 LGs in present day 2020 since LG who timetravelled and 1994 LG are both alive. But kind agave up trying to reconcile that.

Big sobs for PM's mum she was one of the loveliest characters!!! I also love the Head Court Lady Noh I wish she more screentime rather than just her crying in every episode over LG.

ANd Shinjae's sudden confession was saddest confession ever... It was really way too sudden but Tae-eul's reaction was unrealistic. There's no way you react so coldly to a friend of 10+ years, who is confessing to you with tears, even if you're somehow crazily in love with another guy.

Last thing as much I think LMK is good-looking I'm getting tired of seeing LG, he occupies my screen 90% of the time. Really wanted to see more of Nari, Eunsup, Shinjae, Old Lady Noh, Lee Lim, PM or really... ANYBODY else.

can't wait for this show to end honestly but it's really love-hate with this show. As annoyed as I get, I'm anxiously waiting for the next episode LOL. I think the best thing done about this show is really the production and props — that vacuum space is always shot SOOO beautifully, and as a student studying film now, their filmography, angles, lighting and editing are really super nice. Not sure how they're gonna wrap up in one more episode though

It seems that Shinjae's doppelganger is alive since he doesn't have the scars. Then why was he brought over? And…
Oh, yes! I think that's what most people are speculating. But I'm also really curious about the hoard of doppelgangers that so-called "care centre" is hiding.....what's their motive for hiding them for Lee Lim and all? Are they alive but in a coma, or are they actually awake and all? So interesting hahaha

It seems that Shinjae's doppelganger is alive since he doesn't have the scars. Then why was he brought over? And what about his biological mum in Corea, was she threatened by Lee Lim or something? Or did she have something to benefit from abandoning him and working in the palace? If not why would Lee Lim help Shinjae's "mum" in Korea?

I don't understand half of the people that Lee Lim brought over to the other world and why he is using them

I agree with most of the comments here...honestly I really had some interest in this show at the start and I found the concept of two parallel universe intriguing!! Never shipped the two main leads together and couldn't even tell the FL started liking the ML till she suddenly said "I love you" (that was a real shock) but it's getting better and not much of a bother.

HOWEVER all that aside I'm really interested in Shinjae's story, and more than that, his mother??? I really wished the show cared to explain more about the backstories and motives of all the thousand side characters they introduced; I feel that all the side characters are familiar to me but I don't know who they are or why are they even in the show.

Haha i didn't watch finish the anime itakiss! I watched till like ep 9(out of dunno how many) but I gave up I'm not a big fan of anime unless pokemon haaha. BUt after watching the love in tokyo (which according to many followed the original anime more) I realised that Playful Kiss strayed off for more majority of the storyline especialy the 2nd half! So for those that watched because of the anime they would probably not like it. But I loved it! (more than love in tokyo!) I didn't even know it was based on an anime i just watched cuz my tutor recommended me and boy I was hooked!!! I watched till the last episode and though it dragged sometimes I didn't notice it cuz I loved it! HAHA and I found them to have lots of chemistry! :P I don't regret watching it! I was honestly more bored with Love IN Tokyo and I dragged it alot. Over a few months haha i just finished it! But it picked up pace at the last few eps so I loved the ending alot! I guess jdramas and their humour and romance just doesn't really appeal to me compared to kdramas. But I still liked it alot though! I'm considering watching It Started With A Kiss the taiwan remake! Heard it's really good! BUt I may be sick of the plot by then haha/

haha and yaa I'm fearing the second season too I hope they don't screw it up :/ but I like it when they're already in a relationship sooooo I'll stay tuned!
