Hey Luv. I just started as well and I have reached episode 7/8. I think that there was a reason for that. I think they wanted to bring in the part to her forsaken her powers as Grand Sorceress while being the Evening Star for one man. I think they wanted to get them falling in love earlier as the 'love' part does define a bit of the story. She even says it at a point in one of the episodes. I hope this helps. If not, there's a comment under either episode 5/6/7 on Youtube that shares your concerns. It's a shorter comment, but it should be helpful. :)

In regards to continuing, I was just like you last night at episode 4 but I watched one more episode(I do this if I feel like I want to drop a drama) and I decided to continue. It becomes a bit interesting after episode 4/5. I can suggest trying what I do and watching the next episode and if you still aren't interested, drop it.

I got up this morning and immediately rushed to watch it. I have this feeling that Shen Lige is the actual daughter of the Shen family. The master most likely switched the bracelet to 'protect' her or something. In the earlier episode, Madam Shen said she looks so much like Jia'er and if I'm being honest, Ah'nu and Lige don't look all that similar so I highly doubt that Madam Shen made a mistake. A mother knows her babies. Also, I hope that Lige doesn't harm the Prince and that they discover Leqing and her lies. Anyone waiting for episodes 19-20?
