Wow what a long and in depth review. I enjoyed this drama too, if not for 2nd and 3rd kidnapping, the Argan plot + Baek Sa Seon’s disappearance then most ppl would’ve rated it higher 😌

Even though they are neighbors they didn't know each other from childhood or grow up together like in LND LND parents bickering was on a different level, they were closer and had more history The swimming was not a pivotal part of Sunjae's story as how it was for Seung Hyo (his depression, and having to choose a whole other career) Losing swimming didn't affect Sunjae at all, he no longer wanted to do it after he met Sol and it seemed like before he was only doing it bc of his dad. The time capsule has been done for ages, it's not new in kdrama land
Also LR is not totally new and groundbreaking nor does it have a 100% original plot. It uses recycled elements and plots from other dramas. They aren’t the first to do time slip / time travel with youth, so you saying you’ve seen similar elements in LND before well yeah, that’s basically the same for every drama.
LR is fantasy / time travel, musical youth drama, LND is realistic / slice of life, adult drama. LND romance is slowburn, quiet love and longing in secret, LR is about a stalker fan chasing her idol to prevent his death and him falling in love bc he saw her running with an umbrella. Be fr... the two dramas cannot be compared, elements of the story can be but really it's a reach. There is no comparison here if you think about it. You’re better off comparing LR to Twinkling Watermleon, When I Fly Towards You or Someday or One Day. Comparing dramas released in the same year alone is useless when the plots, genres or tropes aren’t even remotely similar.

My stance remains unchanged. They are completely different dramas and should be regarded as such. Once again, LND is a realistic drama, while LR is a fantasy/time travel one, which primarily takes place in the past when the ML is a teenager. Even if you have previously expressed negative opinions about it, it does not matter. You could’ve stated your opinion without bringing up LND. Why not compare LR to Twinkling Watermelon or another drama within the same genre? They are not similar at all, but if you perceive them that way, there is no use in attempting to alter your perspective. Comments like this can contribute to the conflicts between fans of each drama over which is superior 💀 Also there is a review section for all that btw.

Everyone has their perspectives, but when you compare dramas that don't belong to the same category, it becomes annoying and tends to start arguments. You could’ve stated your preference without bringing up another drama is all 🤷♀️
