Osawa Takao’s performance is phenomenal, and Ayase Haruka’s character development is so beautifully done. The mix of medical ethics, time travel, and history is handled so well that it never feels forced. If you haven’t watched this yet, you’re seriously missing out.
Is it a bit melodramatic? Sure. But in a way, that’s the whole point. This drama is a gentle reminder of how fragile love can be, how it can slip through your fingers even when you swear you’ll hold on forever. Definitely not for those looking for a light romance, but for anyone who’s ever wondered what it feels like to lose (and possibly rediscover) the first love that defined who you are.
I guess I am too old fashion. I won’t be watching this I don’t care how fascinated the acting or scenery is,…
I get that everyone has different tastes, and if this show isn’t for you, that’s totally fine. But I think some of your points might be a bit misinterpreted. Harumichi isn’t portrayed as a ‘nymph’ or someone who deliberately exposes a 14 year old to anything inappropriate. His actions, while flawed, are more about the realities of growing up, heartbreak, and moving on rather than outright disrespecting love. The story isn’t about perfect characters. it’s about mistakes, regrets, and second chances.
