I kinda like this sharp feeling of a moment right now. Because right now we can still make suggestions and in a few hours there are no more debates left as everything takes a certain shape you can’t change.

I wanted to make another lengthy post about Dan but it’s kinda unnecessary now, and most of it was covered already anyway.

I’ll just say that there’s a difference between not liking certain actions and not liking a character in general. At some point everyone (your friends and family included) can act in the way you don’t like or even hate. So yes, I don’t like Dan doing all that to Yok (also, dude, couldn’t you be less accurate ffs?), or Black being a stubborn a--hole and kicking a puppy (I mean Sean), or Sean’s bitchy mood swings, or Todd causing Black harm. Who’d like all of this? Still, there’s much more to them than these actions (which hurt themselves too, btw) and I could never hate those guys. I honestly like them all (incl Dan and Tod) for being so human and torn and able to change ♡

Also, this comment section was fun and satisfying and helped me withstand this week🔥

Right after I'll watch P'Nuchy's The Blue Hour, been putting it off for years but now I crave something serious and twisted. Preferably with Gun (lol). After that I'll go lighter and rewatch my Strongberry collection (love those guys) and then on to some quality soap like Cutie Pie to unwind completely (ZeeNuNew are adorable).

On radar:
— NLMG (definitely!) but I think I'll delay watching until 80% is aired, this one's going to be serious and I hate being trapped in anxiety for weeks.
— Chains of hearts
— Big Dragon
— KinnPorsche (who doesn't?)
— Unforgotten Night (but so many things can go wrong here that I'm cautious. If it turns into 50 shades I'll skip. I'm all for bdsm references as long as they aren't twisted into something completely untrue and idiotic)

You're welcome! Haha, I never wrote on MDL at all, NM's a first! Never felt the need to discuss series before but here it's somewhat cozy (well if you ignore the random parrots). I don't have anyone to talk to about this and keeping it inside is unsatisfying. Aww I'm gonna miss the comment section

I really like your posts, this is such a calm and balanced opinion. My train of thoughts is quite similar to yours, it's a straight “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” type situation. It just can't have a nice 'right' solution, any solution is bad.
I'll post soon too, almost done processing my Dan-thoughts.

I'd buy into anything P'Nuchy directs, be it S2 or a movie, both forms are fun.
However she said in the interview there's no talks about season 2. So as to the series - whatever it is we're getting in ep14, that's it.

She also said that movie is a different kind of storytelling and the footage made for series sometimes isn't fit for a movie, and you have to reshoot evth. So I wouldn't get my hopes high at all :) Sorry for spoiling the mood, it just hurts less when you expect less...

One thing’s clear: somewhere on the production laptop there’s ton of extra footage, probably enough to make several more episodes. All of it was cut to fit the timing and NC-rating.
Now how do I get my hands on the damn thing? 👀

P'Nuchy explaining the NC scenes: “there’re NC limitations to kissing scenes, so we had to cut. Instead we focused on the foreplay but it got too sexual, so we had to cut. Then there was the ear biting scene and we had to cut!! I was like - seriously??”

While you wait for the finale, please, go watch subbed interview with P’Nuchy and the screenwriters (if you haven't). It’s almost 3 hrs but there’s so much to learn about the process. Like all the actors had their weaknesses to work on (wasn’t easy for OffGun either), insane amount of time was spent on the details.. etc etc. So much respect for the whole team and P’Nuchy herself. If I were an actor, I’d love to work with her.

I'm so with you on that. Could be much worse though, say 20 min per ep like some series out there. In the end it's all about views and revenue and risks (and not me is riskier than some safe soap). Let's hope Not Me paves the way for bigger budgets and longer _quality_ series. They could even pack it with twice as much promo products for all I care if that helps with budgets.

Here's the final crumb of confirmation, the community has pretty much figured it out already. I'm ready, bring it on, whoever it is they're offing.

Ep 14 will definitely be very rushed and sad but I'm ready for it now. No other way around, just gotta accept it. For all the amazing work they did before, I'm not going to criticize the ending. I'm at peace with P'Nuchy's quality control, so I know they made it the best way possible, considering the tightening conditions. Thousand thanks to everyone who took part in Not Me for bringing this much effort into it, you truly are awesome.

Well, this show did raise a helluva social issue discussions, like none before. Personally, i love that it's all about shades of gray. And shades of gray is all about ability to consider different points of view, which many ppl gotta learn to do nowadays. I'm totally appalled at how just hearing one side of the story ppl easily fall (or are manipulated) into shaming/cancel culture etc. Then more facts arise and everyone's like "ooh, so that's how it was then". Shades of gray, everyone, our whole existence is in shades of gray.

So back to the show - no one's perfect. White's not a "good boy", Black's not a "bad boy". Todd totally makes sense too: protest all you want, yet you can't really change big things in small numbers, gotta work in a gray area and cooperate with some power. Can't sit on a white horse and play by the rules here, won't work. Wanna change things? Fight dirty until there's a chance to come cleaner.

Following some comment below, the gang's so called "planning" skills and lack of the backup strategies and caution made my control freak ass soo anxious through the whole series lol.

Dan's flawed, too. Personally I don't like his character and his inconsistency but I understand him. He's very flawed, but hey why not? That's his way and his cross after all. He could turn out better than that or worse than that too.

I'd love to be wrong, but chances are high, so use this week to order some extra tissues just in case lol

Not Me screenwriters: plot twist, everyone: it's both of them *grim laughter*

True, that too, forgot to add. There's often character deaths in a drama. Could be Yok / Gumpa or any of those guys. Would be sad as hell, too. I just really hope it's not B/W/Sean, too much sadness in their lives already.

After MODC i promised myself to never ever binge series before it's done airing, to make sure all the leads survive. Been waiting for Not Me more than a 6 months and broke my promise yesterday. Serves me right. Now I'm full of this creepy feeling that Black's not gonna make it.. Please, please let me come back in a week to see this post proved wrong, please. I've seen just 12 eps but:
- Black's kinda 'drifiting away' from everyone - no one waits for him, no lovers, no friends. There's strong connection only with White, but W's got Sean now, so he's not alone. There's some feeling of impending doom surrounding Black.
- Only one Gun's character on the poster

I never wanted to be wrong so much, I'd hate to see some kind of dumb tearjerking plot twist where Black's covering White/Sean against bullets or something like that, as a symbolic act of kindness from an unkind character.

Please, let me be wrong, please!
