as a guy who doesnt like BL drama at all, is this drama watchable?
I don't like BL either but as long as you don't look at it as BL in your mind it doesn't really look like it is. I think if nobody told you beforehand you wouldn't necessarily think it is BL.
The initial episodes may seem unnecessary when you watch it for the first time but when you think about everything…
I didn't find them unnecessary and it sure is not in this drama only. I just think if those episodes were more exciting I would be able to enjoy it more and rate it higher. (but I still gave it a 9 :D) Because at the beginning they weren't able to make me fall in love with the drama and I even had a thought of dropping it around episode 10. I actually continued watching because of all of you who said it was worth it and eventually it was and I enjoyed the later episodes a lot. Thank you The Untamed Squad!
A good watch. Pity it started picking up the pace quite later into the episodes (about ep 20). I enjoyed it but I think the rating is unreasonably over the top it was on par with other great wuxia/costume dramas.
Good but unsatisfying ending. As they all simply admited they wrongdoings, got away lightly or commited a suicide I don't think the were punished enough. Also TOP suddently becoming so incompetent in the last episode was way too unbelievable... Excluding the last episode the whole drama was excelent though. 8/10
Oh man! I'm at episode 35 and i'm already feeling sad that this drama gem will be over soon. Anyone get more recommendations…
As for historical I would definitely recommend some older ones like Iljimae and Jumong or Warrior Baek Dong Soo , The King's Daughter Soo Baek Hyang and Battle of Changsha. I know some of them are longer but trust me, you'll be only glad it didn't end so soon. ^^
Ok so NSH was stabbed by Hwi but will live through the injury while the Crown prince who was stabbed at the exact same spot died instantly?? O.o I love the drama but the deaths/survivals of many characters are just sooo unbeliavable and irrational that everytime it happens I almost throw the laptop away!! GRrr...
Ep 11 (22) end really got me crying ~ TT_TT Haru's face when she said the line was soooo well acted. Like he was happy, extremely happy that she said those words to him and not BK but at the same time I got a feeling that when he suddenly stopped smiling for a moment he realised that even though she said it to him she still said the words she was written to say... Even those who are conscious aren't actually conscious - the irony really made me emotional. LOVE THIS DRAMA!!!
why are Cho Yo Han's nails black ? isn't black nails a cancer symptom ?
I think it's there to show more vividly how he doesn't feel pain. He is tapping it so often and sometimes so hard but doesn't realize that he shoud stop (as normal person would stop because of the pain) so his nail became like this.
I absolutely loved the first half, then it got a bit draggy and confusing. Especially the ending. Just why must my brain interpret it in the sad ending kind of way? Why? I understand that it depends on each viewer but why must I see it black? It only occured to me that it can as well be a happy ending after reading the comments. Why, brain?
I like how the writers show us that nothing is just black or white as the characters that are supposed to be portrayed as funny and atmosphere releaving are also the exact ones to commit murders and enslave our lovely tribe and others. As well as Tagon somehow evil but somehow not I just cannot make up my mind on which side he is... And on the other hand Eunsom who is the good one but at the same time he has that purple blood which sometimes makes him uncontrolable and angry and dangerous as he is attacking (ok, not so) innocent people. Well just LOVE it!!!
