I can't... XDXDXD Everytime I read the drama title I sing the part in Red Velvet's Happiness. I must really need an edit of scenes from the drama with "Shine on me, let it shine on me, yeah. 내 품에, let it shine..." I'm not even like a fan of RV but the title somehow brought it out of somewhere deep in my memory. Hahaha.
I'm totally a sucker for the court scenes in this one! Like how she sais multiple times that 'it is the prosecutor's duty to find evidence' like YOU GO GIRL! That's how criminal law really is in modern coutries not that the lawyer must prove things but that it is the prosecutor's duty to find proof when there is doubt. Hope they show us more real situations like that the prosecutor will not only try to get the ML found guilty but that he will be after the truth, the real evidence whether it is for or against finding the defendant guilty. The prosecutor is not there to get him behind bars but to protect the society and the rules and one of the basics is that he's not guily until he's proven so. Fingers crossed for this drama to stay on the right path! (*pun intended)
The Thailand part was awesome, then the second time together was also great, but.... I just can't get over the fact that she just forgave him because it was hard for him. So many times was I waiting for her anger to burst. Like when he said he's hopeless when she cries I just wanted her to say "I cry when you don't want me, I cry when you lie to me, I cry when you leave me by myself." I just really needed her to vent (my) frustration in front of him. That's the only thing that was missing to make this perfect.
Just read the novel and now I fear I will be disappointed with the drama as it might not really copy the awesome and really engaging book to a T. The trailer looks great but one can see there are probably diviations from the book so I just feel a little uneasy. Not to mention the face swapping needs to be done well... Anyways I hope this comes out sooner rather than later.
The way the FL offered the princess all the fan service merch XDXDXD It wasn't even supposed to be transmigration from modern times but the crew somehow made it work that way. XD
Le me, who read the book, in the first two eps: "Don't get attached! Don't get attached!!!!" Le me in ep 3: ㅠㅠ *still emotions at 100% and now waiting for the revenge to srew the bad guys over 100 times* ㅠㅠ
The most funny thing for me was that everytime one of the girls/maids got proposed to the FL's eyes got bigger (with, as I saw it, expectation) when she said to the bride-to-be "if you don't want to get married..." only to be slapped in a face with "I'm more than willing!" XDXDXD
Started this season about two months after finishing the first and I think it was just the right time for it to feel a bit like a new drama, which makes it ok to watch their talking (and misunderstanding) phase for another 15 eps, but at the same time I haven't forgotten what happened in s1 and can complete the story. So for all of you who read the comments of this season being slow and whatnot I recommend this pause in between the seasons. This way at least I enjoyed both of them very much.
There's actually nothing special in episode 30 without 21-29. I don't understand why people so obsess about episode…
I'm reading comments before watching but one think came to my mind when reading your comment. Why would everyone want to be hit by emptiness? Some watch for the fun, for the sweet feeling and for escaping stress and bleek daily life so if some emptiness can be avoided I often find myself going for the more happy option in dramas. It probably depends on whether you watch for the boring life you live or try to percieve it as art or something deeper.
I really wish this was a full scale drama. The leads are great, the story has more to show, especially if the side characters and the story of the leads getting together and the backstory of the mother and father were more developed. I would love to see the lieutenant and the real princess fall in love as well as more of the leads' flirting phase. But maybe it would be too long to make it twice the episode durration and twice the ep count... Anyways if this was a full length format I believe it would have higher ratings and both leads deserve it.
Watching this drama is so stressful. I am on the edge all the time because of the lies and schems she plots. But I like it but I am stressed with an activity I do to release stress so I I'm probably having a bit of Stockholm syndrom here.. hehe
Though I was skipping quite a bit in the later half the story was nice and well wrapped up, the couple was strong and beautiful and had quite believable problems which were solved quite soon. Nothing more to ask for of a comfy romance. 8.5*
I thought it started out strong. After the end of episode 2 I was on board (Im always invested in endearing old…
I feel you. It probably deserved 16 episodes to tell the whole plot while keeping its original pacing and giving space to the characters. They had too much plot for 12 eps.I really liked the plot of GW looking for SA shooting the ghosts in the forest but apart from being action-ish it deserved more of his feelings and how he met all those ghosts and what he had to do to save her. And it was just briefly brushed over. In a way it would even make for a whole separate drama just the part of searching and finding her. In the past I loved how K-dramas were short not having multiple seasons and stoppimg just when they should to tell a satisfying story, but now it got too short and sometimes too rushed.
I dont really like her new hairstyle i think the former style suited her better and she could be as badass as she wants to even in that hairstyle... In the Korean it was a change for the better but here it just makes her kinda too different and doesn't suit her that well imo.
Love how the portrait really looked like her and not like in many dramas where the painting is nothing like the person but somehow everyone recognizes him/her I'm always like "wut? that could be just anyone...' but here it's pretty obvious. Yan's painting skills are up there!
I don’t like the FL’s grandfather at all. He straight-up told her, “I wish you were a boy,” when he was…
They use these words in costume dramas a lot. It expresses the regret that as a girl that is so inteligent she cannot be the heir gof the familly because of societal rules even if the grandfather would love her to do big things she has to get married and be in the backyard of the mansion. It is not motivational because there is nothung she or him can do about it, however, I don't think it's rude either based on the time and space they are supposed to be at...
Le me in ep 3: ㅠㅠ *still emotions at 100% and now waiting for the revenge to srew the bad guys over 100 times* ㅠㅠ
