This is such a great dorama...
This is such a great dorama. By and large, it is a masterpiece. Intriguing plot, interesting characters all without exception, music, humor and, of course, inimitable Dylan, whose game is the highest class. If the first episodes are diluted with humor, but there are powerful episodes about resilience, faith, justice, perseverance and courage. There's a lot of informative stuff about poetry and chemistry, love, combat skills and weapons. Lots of right words about life and its meaning, about family and relationships. There are violent scenes with the punishment of criminals and here Dylan is limited and beautiful. I enjoyed it all from start to finish and will watch it again, and look forward to the second season with the same cast. Was this review helpful to you?
I'm pleased to note...
I'm pleased to note that the drama is quite realistic in its portrayals of the young, ambitious CEO, professor, and assistant. They are highly educated and physically fit, with a desire to explore and implement new technologies, even relying on intuition. Given the country's successful economic development, it's likely this generation of leaders is working in big business. The drama depicts a company engaged in investment, the nuances of the work, the risks, and the betrayal of specialists who leave the company during difficult times. CEO Shi Yan created this company after leaving the family business and is forced to report to the elders and assume responsibility. I understood the business world because of my work, but if someone unfamiliar with it is not, I'm afraid the drama will seem boring. The journalists' work, however, was interesting; there was much new learning, but there was also some envy and backstabbing. The supporting couples are each engaging in their own way and have their place in the drama, but the actors failed to outshine the lead couple. The drama's theme of friendship between the male leads is vibrant, as are the conversations they have at meetings, their support for each other, and the jokes themselves. The lead actors are a whole other story. Dylan is perfect as the CEO. He's slender, handsome, and not overly strong, but those kinds of actors often don't look convincing in such roles. Dylan, however, is amazing. He doesn't just read the script, he thinks and translates those thoughts onto the screen. His facial expressions help add emotion to the character. Dylan has the artistry and can surface, sometimes hidden behind sarcasm and sharp remarks in his verbal exchanges with Bai Lu's character. The actress is incredibly beautiful and delivers a unique performance, creating a harmonious couple in love. Anyone who enters this world of elegant everyday life and unique charm will be left with a lasting, pleasant aftertaste and a desire to watch again and again. Was this review helpful to you?
A beautiful tale of a devil's love for a mortal girl...
A beautiful tale of a devil's love for a mortal girl, based on Chinese mythology about celestials and reincarnation. It's a captivating blend of numerous obstacles, even tragic ones, with pure, selfless, and vibrant relationships. The dragon accompanies his beloved throughout her reincarnations, both visibly and invisibly, forced to watch her embraced by other men, yet willing to do anything for her sake. The drama features two love stories—one primary and one secondary—and two main male characters: the thousand-year-old devil and the celestials. Both must maintain an impartial and cool demeanor, and under these circumstances, the acting is ample. Every emotion is visible in their eyes. The casting is exquisitely aesthetic. Dylan as Long Yan is insanely handsome and ethereal in every role, and there are many in the drama. The head of the Lofeng Palace is a complex character, perceived in two ways, but the actor's performance was ample for a supporting character. The female characters are bright, lively, and sensitive, and the actresses excelled. The visuals of the locations are stunning, the views are breathtaking. The costumes are a separate art form, with multi-layered hanfu and stunning decorations. The music is beautiful and perfectly suits the narrative. The drama is a visual delight for romantics. Delightful, elegant, and seamless. Was this review helpful to you?
The drama is worth watching
I've read some angry comments and reviews 2, I completely forgot what Night 1 was about and who played it. I don't think that should happen with a masterpiece. I've never watched Night 1 since Night 2. Chen Fei Yu, who's too handsome and too combative, doesn't seem very convincing. Unlike the stunning Dylan, his performance is believable. Night 2 is multi-layered and consists of many stories, such as palace intrigue, the struggle between light and darkness, the struggle between other clans, the problems of the academy, and the 13 masters. The theme of chaos and eternal night runs through all the layers. The now-mature Ning Qiu must navigate life with his maid, Sang Sang. They have many protectors, and they don't harm themselves, but protect each other. With each emerging problem, new characters emerge. I don't think Dylan was so naive when he accepted this role that he didn't expect comparisons, but apparently not to such a degree of negativity. It's good that he's also stubborn; he created the character and embodied it quite convincingly and beautifully in the fights, and his high-flying archery is perfect. I could write a lot about this drama; it covers so much ground, not always successfully, but it's not worth destroying. Dylan's charisma was enough for me to rewatch the drama and give Night 2 a positive rating in all respects. It's quite possible this role influenced the creation of such a bold, resourceful, and handsome Guardian of Dafeng. Was this review helpful to you?
The dorama is a whole universe of emotions...
The dorama is a whole universe of emotions, feelings, images and is underestimated not because of the cut episodes, but because of the excessive insignificance and stupidity of the emperor up to a boring and primitive image, this is confirmed by the game of the talented Peter Howe. It will not be an exaggeration to say that the rich meaning of the drama about Forbidden love, eunuchs, the struggle for power, revenge for the death of a brother, survival rests on a multifaceted image created by the charismatic handsome Dylan, who is a real element that captures and shocks and does not let go. There are no empty phrases, dialogues and monologues between the characters, each has a deep meaning. Dylan has no worthy opponent to understand the silent play of facial expressions, head turns, looks. Therefore, after watching, there is regret that the amazing story of the eunuch was created against the background of a primitively cruel emperor. Was this review helpful to you?
