Great movie, loved how it depicted the struggles of refugees. Song Joong-ki's performance was great. But that romance and the female character did nothing for the plot except to throw some twists into Loh Kiwan's journey. Wish her character could have been written more meaningfully.
Took time off from work and went to watch this at the cinema last week on a random weekday afternoon. Expected only a handful of people to be in the theatre with me but was pleasantly surprised that there were about 15-20 people. Some had gone to watch it on their own too.
I loved the slow, deliberate, thoughtful pacing and the cinematography was such a delight. Yoo Teo's performance was top notch.
Hope this movie does well in the box office! I absolutely loved it and can't wait to watch it again when it becomes available to stream.
Can someone recommend a similar drama? Doesn't have to be Korean. I looked briefly through the recommendation…
Not a Korean drama but as I was watching I kept getting Fargo (TV series) vibes in terms of the absurdity and the violence, as well as the social commentary. It's an American drama and has great cinematography as well. You can check it out.
Surprised at how much I ended up crying while watching this. Thought it would be cringy and lame, and I'm not sure how much is really scripted, but it ended up being really meaningful.
This is such an underrated drama! I love how it dished out some legit, solid investment advice. Although it was slightly cheesy at times, the comedic tone throughout helped keep things enjoyable. This was a short, sweet drama with no fillers and kept me wanting to find out what happened next. Overall a high quality production with lovable characters, an enjoyable romance storyline, delivered by an engaging cast who were all top notch in their performance.
In short, don't let the rating deter you. If you're in for something easy-to-watch, light-hearted AND educational, give this a try!
Wheeew i didnt under anything! Didn't they try to save sae ha ? But he died again ? So many questions? The writer…
When the ghost and her counterpart created a force (time?) field around Saeha's body, we see the blood flowing backwards. They were probably turning back time just for his body. This probably bought him enough time to be saved later, secretly. His death was probably faked so the Administration Bureau wouldn't be able to make use of him anymore.
Although I was confused throughout the show, I can't deny that every episode was interesting
Same I probably only understood the gist of it but every episode kept me wanting more! They might have just released one season to see what the response was like... Seems like lots of people are confused and are just dismissing the show. Hopefully there will be a next season!
Watching this, I really felt like I visited Cuba and saw the same amazing sights that Je Hoon and Joon Yeol saw. The bromance of those two was so fun to watch too. Loved the chill and laidback vibe of the show!
