Things looked nice until halfway and then the writer became silly. I have a long rant on that absurd finale and…
It was completely unnecessary for the mom to become a villain ("Kill Switch"), it's silly that the hacked test drive plotline just vanished — including all the people who must have been hurt or killed in the road rampage.
In general it feels like the writer had just watched Whisper and was jealous of all the random plot twists.
When Human Shin holds up the kill switch box, RoboShin could just have ran across the street and taken it.
The police called to the abduction spot to save Human Shin arrives laughably late and does nothing.
Ending & "one year later", it also makes no sense whatsoever that his conscious was deleted, before being then restored a year later fully intact except with fewer superpowers and more crying. Also that they kept all of this a secret from FL so she can suffer more.
-> Initially I really enjoyed this show, but making it to the end was hard work.
Cause I was wond erng why they needed to With hotel room scene where Mann Shin tubules his actress or idol girlfriend…
In the hotel scene, he rejects a random girl he picked up to look like a troublesome womanizer. He wants to act up to rebel against his controlling grandfather.
If you hate characters being jerks for no reason, or if you feel the writer shouldn't waste your time when one character acting smart could shorten the whole thing by three episodes, there will be boiling blood for sure.
Human nam shin was forced by everyone to do that ... Anyone in his condition will do so.... Just imagine how would…
He's a humongous asshole throughout the entire show (besides the few minutes early on when he speaks Czech), and it's absurd how his mother dying and him regretting his behaviour towards her "cures" him of his paranoia and cruelty.
The final third or half of it was a real effort to get through. Filler content, dumb extra villains, and character actions that just serve to make the show drag on longer.
I don't understand why so many people were annoyed by the FL though. She's not the best FL ever, but so many dramas have five times as annoying FL characters?
It's only for a few moments though. Vincenzo's "copy" of it with Italian is way deeper.
The screenwriter Park Jae Bum made Manager Kim speak a bit of Danish, and in his newest drama Vincenzo, the male lead speaks a truckload of Italian. There's way more "European connection".
In some ways, the "upgraded" version of this, Vincenzo, does a lot of things worse. The comedy works way better here, even if a good portion of it is puberty-level jokes.
Might depend on your mother's tolerance or appreciation of violent killings & slapstick comedy.
If you think about it, you wouldn't have been born without your mother engaging in "kisses and bed scenes". The show contains very little in that direction.
The worst in that regard is when each of the tenants get their 30 seconds as an unstoppable combat monster or…
The 'martial arts' guy is a caricature / joke character early on, but then they stop Han Seo's (perhaps incompetent) attackers using expert wrestling moves.
Or in another scene, "lightning scissors" suddenly is a thing and defeats 10+ lethal gang fighters.
It's like a household of superheroes with only sporadically functional super powers — unless they all fight together, then it's some Power Rangers synergy thing, except there's no actual synergy in the fighting.
Can watch with VPN ^_^

This one has tons of twists and evil characters.
