You’re telling me that a renowned chef was on the verge of throwing it all away – including her brilliant career – to live in an era where women are viewed as objects, all because of a spoilt king?
There’s absolutely no chemistry between the leads, the male lead is incredibly annoying, and, sorry to say, the actor isn’t exactly top-notch either. Towards the end, I found myself agreeing with the villains that he should never have been king in the first place, he’s so childish.
The scenes where they taste the food and start describing it are so cringe and repetitive. 12 episodes felt like an eternity honestly.
2017 was really one of the best —if not the best— years for Korean dramas. This one and Because This Is My First Life are two of my favorite K-dramas of all time. It’s been almost 10 years, and I still can’t move on.
I've read the manhwa, and this cast is just perfect, all the actors look just like the characters, the cinematography is on point too! I hope the drama has a romantic storyline, since the manhwa doesn't.
