Usually not, it remains quite different from a soap opera. It is more about taking time to fully develop the story, and also focus on more characters than classic dramas do: usually every member of the leads' families get a fully developed storyline, not just the leads.
Where will it air like on which ott app ?? And one more! When did it became from 12 eps to freaking 50 EPS ???!!!!!
Its a KBS Weekend Drama, that's why it has 50 episodes, maybe the page wasn't properly updated before. For the last years, they were always available on Kocowa, so it's safe to assume it will be available there (also because KBS is one of the owner of Kocowa). Usually they are also available on Viki, a few hours later thought, and sometimes not available in some locations like the US where Kocowa might have exclusive rights. And some weekend dramas are also picked-up by Netflix but a few months later, and episodes are delayed by a few months as well. So not the best option if someone want to watch it as soon as possible, or even binge-watch it after the last episode airs.
Idk I put a ticket up in the support forum about it
Someone has to submit an edit to change the status of the drama, and then the change needs to be approved by someone from the staff. I'm pretty sure someone already submitted the change, but for some reason the approval process seems very slow this week, maybe the staff is overbooked or on holidays. Same thing happened with a drama that started last Saturday, it only got the airing tag like 3 days after, and I also have one submission from 2 days ago that has not been approved yet.
Does that really means that it will not be available on Youku outside of China 😥? I don't understand the "copyright…
Sounds like a long delay indeed. But I just checked, on Viki at least in France, they are at episode 28 and says 30 is coming today (so basically 5 days delay with the chinese schedule). Anyway I agree, I don't watch illegally if I cannot do otherwise, but sometimes there is just no licensing, for no reason, which seems just like a bad and stupid decision ...

Ok I don't mind watching on Viki, but usually they always release the episodes a few days later than the Chinese platforms ... 😥 They always do that, but usually then I can just watch on the Chinese platform if I want to see the episodes right away...
As per the inquiry on Youku International, Our Generation is not available on the international version due to…
Does that really means that it will not be available on Youku outside of China 😥? I don't understand the "copyright reasons" if there isn't some other platform like Netflix to broadcast it globally with almost the same schedule ...

I also thought about the fact that quite often the episodes are made available on Tencent Video's Youtube channel. I don't know if it is always the case, and in which region it is available, but it is a good alternative. Episodes may only be available days later (like the non VIP schedule), but it is still faster than Viki and Netflix if/when they decide to pick up the drama

Do you know where it is available on the legal streaming platforms? I tried both wetv.vip and the WeTV mobile app, from France and also with a US VPN, but it always says something like "unavailable for copyright reasons"
Does the link work for you? It does not seem to work in France, which worries me because all KDramas are usually available here and I don't see why this one wouldn't 😢
I am wondering the same thing. I would be happy if the releases accelerates near the end, even thought it means I'd sleep less 😂. And when I searched what is the schedule for other Chinese dramas, it seems that indeed they often accelerate the release near the end of the drama.
was expected. They usually want to finish the drama on a sunday.
Interesting! I'm new to weekend dramas so I wasn't aware. Is it usually more like a bonus episode or do they normally extend the story just enough to fit into one more episode ?
