Alright so here is my final review. This series is hands down one of the BEST BL I've seen in a long time. One of the best BL of 2025!!! This is easily one of my top favorite BL overall. I am adding this one to my favorite BL series!!! I should have started this sooner and now I can't get over it! I am obsessed with this show!!! I can understand the hype of this show now! I will say this. It may be the BEST BL for me this year. Some of the other ones I am watching currently doesn't really give me the feeling like I have for this series! What have this show done to me!!??

First thing first, I am glad that Chai Ji Dan choose to remake this BL telling the whole story without cutting out all the "explict" and men's kissing scenes! It doesn't feel complete without it honestly. Counterattack (the old version) was good and also funny, but this version is 10x better, 10x funnier, and the chemistry is top notch! I remember years ago, I was so devastated that they didn't continue Counterattack and left at a cliff hanger. I was so heart-broken then, but now I am healed from all those years of the cliff hangers. I got to see the entire story now! I am so happy and so emotional because I always wanted to see a completed Chinese BL that wasn't censored or anything like that. "Addicted" hurted me a lot cuz the story was cut in half and it was a Chinese BL I was so into back then too. At least this show gave me the satisfaction! Literally! I'm so happy that I am about to cry now! If Chinese BL were not censored, they would easily beat a lot of the BL from other countries.

There's some issue and toxicity on this show, but honestly, it adds to the story lol. I usually don't care for the 2nd couple, but this show got me wanting the happy ending for both the main couple and side couple. All of the casts were eye-candy af and they were all really good actors overall. Tian Xu Ning as Chi Cheng is literally his role. The emotions he conveys throughout the show as Chi Cheng was one of the big factor on making this show really great I feel. I love all the actors equally honestly though. I'm sure at this point the actors gain lots of popularity and they truly deserve it because they did really good in this show! I really wish them the best and they quite fearless to still act in a BL honestly. I pray the best for all of the actors and crew behind this incredible show!

The story and pacing was on point. Never did I felt like the story seems dry or boring at any point. This show had good amount of the sexiness, the sexual tensions, and the build-ups. It also have equal amount comedy scenes, lovey-dovey scenes, heart-warming scenes, and scenes that moves the entire story really well. The ending was perfect on it's own. All I wanted was a happy ending and I got that too lol. Now that I finished the show, the OST is growing onto me too. It's gonna take me awhile to get over this show now 😞.

If they have a boxset or some kind of official merchandise, I am literally supporting them. Take my money!!! Lol

Probably. Pretty sure they have to make his character strong, but maybe later soft to Khemjira. I really hope so! I can't wait for the hot shaman to save our Khemjira and begin the romance already lol

I like Khemjira so far, but I gotta say that romance is really slow-burning right now. Hopefully it will pick up in episode 5 at least. The first 4 episodes should already set the pace and the basic background of the show. I just need more romance of the main leads now lol. I don't know if its just me, but I don't really feel the chemistry between the main characters yet.... maybe because they don't have much screentime together. But overall, I am still enjoying it so far.

Oh yea. I realized that the comment section on here is crazy. I just know that RL was one of the BL that people were talking about a lot. I didnt know how crazy good the show is. This version has a lot more initmate scenes than the older version. I'm glad Chai Ji Dan did not shy away the explict scenes because it has to be done the right way so that the fans will actually enjoy the show. I think I am enjoying it a lot more than I expected. If the Chinese BL would look more like RL right now, then I will continue to watch more Chinese BL. But yea... so far I am loving it right now! It's been awhile since I have been obsessed with a Chinese BL lol.

Suprised to learn that Chai Ji Dan was the creator of this Chinese BL. I've watched Counterattack years ago and I remember it being a good film too, but I have to say that Tian Xu Ning and Zi Yu have such good amazing chemistry together!! I like this version a lot more. I'm only on episode 6, but this show got me screaming almost every episode so far! I was not expecting it to be kinda funny, but so damn sexy. The sexual tension build up is so fucken hot. Like... somehow it reminded me of Addicted and Addicted's sexual tension build up. I think Chai Ji Dan really know what she's doing while producing her shows. It's so hot and funny at the same time. Idk, but I am obsessed with this show. It doesn't make me bored either. Usually I'm always on my phone while watching movies and shows, but this show got me to put down my phone while watching it lol. Now, I think I understand the hype of this show now. Should have start it sooner cuz I thought it was gonna be a censored Chinese BL 😭. Will give a full review when I am done with it. Lol

You know what. I never imagined how bold Chinese people are despite censorship. It's sad that it won't be promoted in China, but at least we can still continue see new Chinese BL. Please create lots of Chinese BL still! We can save all of these Chinese BL together outside of China! Aside that, these newer Chinese BL definitely have higher budgets now. Its getting better slowly! Aside that, I feel like Mi Jun's acting is pretty good. It's kinda a slow start, but hopefully it picks up after the story is set in place. If China didn't censor BL, Chinese BL would been extremely popular worldwide by now, probably catching up to the popularity of Thai BL.

I think BL are more for girls lol. Im a guy. I watch BL cuz I am gay lol. But I rather watch BL because it feels like I am watching a regular drama. Honestly, a lot of gay films/tv shows are often heavily sex-driven storyline only. In the past, the story stays the same about coming out, being in the closest, being bully for being gay and etc. They are good stories that tells of the gay experience and hardship, but sometimes its just better to watch something different. Something a bit more positive or a fantasy gay love story is better in my opinion. At least with most BL, there's an actual story.

Watching the official trailer, I just know this show is gonna be good! I miss Peak. He was always an eye candy. He's been away for awhile, but at least he seems to be starring in a potential good show! Can't wait!

Hmmm.. just started this but I really just love the chemistry so much to the point that I forgot what the plot was even about lol. Felt like every scene was a kiss scene (not that I'm complaining about it lol) and it doesn't feel force. For some odd reason I find it kinda hot that Han Tuo is possessive? The height difference is making me scream every time they kiss each other! Lol

Honestly, wasn't sure on starting this show because horror stuff has to be good. I love thai horror movies, and I have a standard for Thai horror stuff lol. Gotta say the production is good! Feels like I am watching those Thai horror movie! Plus, seeing a new handsome face, Keng, being one of the hottest shaman/medium I've ever seen in a Thai horror show saving the Khem... whew! Come save me afterward please!!!! He can sing too? My lord. Seal the Thai honmoon with your voice now! Keng speaking in another Thai dialect... my god amazing too. Ok jokes aside... so far it's not bad for a good start. Not really into Mandee works, but at least they are exploring different genre. I like it so far. It is indeed my first Thai horror BL show that I'm willingly to watch lol. Hopefully this show will continue to go good. The OST is good too!

I watched this show without any kind of mindset set into the show, but its actually kinda enjoyable when you dont wanna watch anything too serious. I love Mark and Ohm and they both pretty cute together overall. This is my layback show and Im so sad it's ending real soon!! I think Mark is a really good actor and I love him in comedy. For some odd reason, I felt pretty engage in the story, even though there wasn't much to the story. I watched for Mark, but end up liking Ohm too lol. I'm gonna miss this couple.

I'm liking this show a little more. At first I kept thinking why Joss' character is so dull... but then I realized he needed to play the emotionless vampire who dont feelings lol. I kinda like the tension buildup for Mark and Tong. For me, it doesn't feel as force. I just love this pairing so much!!!! I know both Gawin and Joss are going to star together in another show, but I really hope they stay as a BL couple for awhile! Gawin and Joss are so cute together really! I love that kiss in episode 4!

I feel like the story really hasn't gone anywhere, but its the vibe, the chemistry, and hot ass Gawin-Joss are making me sticking to this show! And damn, that kiss was hot!!! @_@ Lol

On the positive note, at least the show has character development for both Tong and Mark's relationship, but as for the main story so far, its a slow-burn story thus far. Maybe the director is letting us have the sweets moments before everything turned into a storm and chaos? Hopefully the story picks up somewhere soon within episode 5 or 6 at least. I just love Gawin and Joss pairing so much!! Can't wait til next week!

I somehow expected the show to be a lot more fluffy because GMMTV tends to make all their BL fluffy, but I enjoy the seriousness tone and Rom-Com tone set for this show and in episode two. I think personally, my rating has gone up a bit. I feel episode 2 is actually better lol.

One thing I feel is that at least they didn't make Tong naive. I find it funny when he wanted to file police report. That shit cracked me up! Lol. At least the show stays a little realistic in the sense that Tong find Mark odd and untrustable. Lots of other shows like this would throw out logic from the main lead and act like anything they've seen is "normal." Lol

Anyways, can't wait until next week! Cheers to my new favorite couple!

This show is ok so far, but I do love the chemistry. I will watch for the chemistry lol. I love the sexual tension too, but then again, I still can't fathom that fact that Mark is probably a 1,000 year old vampire hitting on a 20 year old boy he been protecting since he was a little kid?? Lol 😆. Mark, find someone your age please. Lol

I can't wait for the next episode! I think Joss and Gawin are indeed the perfect couple too!!!!

Ive never seen the main actors before, but honestly, I feel like I dont even know what the storyline is about... only knowing that they soooooo fucken cute together as a couple and I love their chemistry A LOT!!! Lol I swear, the shorter guy is hella cute paired with a tall ass cutie made this even better! I love their differences lol.
