Cherry Magic didn't have a kiss scene in the show because one of the actor's company did not permit a kissing…
I'm not sure, but that was the rumors flying around everywhere lol. All other Japanese BL have a kiss scene except Cherry Magic unfortunately. Even until the very end, the elevator kiss wasn't a legit kiss scene 😭.
I caught up to episode 8, and IDK why I feel NuNew is like a minor and Zee is an adult??? Lol. The way they present themselves in the story feels like they have a huge age gap or something lol. Kuea has the personality of like a kid or teenager vibe, while Lian definitely have an adult, and more mature vibe.
Its kinda an odd story honestly. I think I am having seconds thoughts on how the drama will play out towards the end. It feels odd because somehow Lian just developed feelings for Kuea out of nowhere after Kuea been trying to catch Lian's attention for all those past years. I jusf think the story's development is just quite odd. Can't seem to pinpoint exactly about it yet.
I'm sad they killed off Big and Ken. But I did not miss Tawan tho lol.
Ep. 10 really had lots of things going on that I did not expect. Obviously I didn't read the novel, but I did not expect Vegas was really the bad guy in the story. So how is Pete going to end up with Vegas? Anyone can spoil for me on this.
I think overall it's good that the show ended the way it did because there wasn't much going on honestly. I do like that it focused on character development and they finally ended up being with each other. It feels like just any other typcial Japanese rom com shows I watched in the past lol. I would rewatch it again in the future because Sato is just hot af lol. No other Japanese BL so far really top off Cherry Magic for me though, but this show is still a nice fluffy to just relax and enjoy. A 8.5/10 for me.
I do really hope they make a film because Cherry Magic and My Beautiful Man both got their films. I really hope this show sells a lot of blurays and dvds for a film in the near future!
I enjoyed this, it was fun and sweet but why is it that Japanese BLs like this seem to refuse to give us the satisfaction…
Cherry Magic didn't have a kiss scene in the show because one of the actor's company did not permit a kissing scene. Although, I hope the new film have at least a kissing scene lol
So far, this show is a bit better than some other Thai BL from this year. The story moves somewhere and the cast are super cute. I feel like they changed the story, so that there could be comedy in there. If the story stayed original to the novel, I'm pretty sure it would just be those soft sweet romance tone like 2moons than a comedy romance tone. Somehow, I don't mind the story change lol. I like it so far since I love watching rom com genres.
Just to point out . . . I believe it's been only 2-3 weeks since the first episode started. The fact that Kota…
Yea. It's possible. Everything is still quite new to Kota and I do see he is trying his best. Although the last episode is next week, I still don't know if Kota likes Naoya for who he is, or Kota still likes him because of his good luck and because he's a nice person at this point. Based on Kota's reactions, it may seem like he is trying to be more of an open person who trying to be the best version of himself for Naoya, or it seems like he is not so ready to be in a relationship with Naoya. That's why the story feels incomplete. Hopefully in the last episode is where he will address more of his true feelings for Naoya and show them to Naoya.
For some reason, I feel like the story is somewhat not fully developed. Next week is already the ending. 😭 I feel Kota don't fully have the desire to love Naoya all the way. Is it just me seeing it that way? Kota may compliments him, but I'm not sure if it's the same thing as reciprocating Naoya's love. Perhaps it's Kota's first love too? Somehow the series just feels incomplete because I feel like Kota don't really love Naoya.
Um, I will attempt to suspend disbelief regarding the Professor. She most likely would be fired & probably arrested…
I was thinking the same thing too lol. In the real world, the professor would have been fired or be suspended, but for the sake of the show, I'll just let it pass.
Just came back here to check the comments and oh wow. It is going to reach 100k by episode 9 lol. This is indeed the most popular BL comment section on MDL. I am amazed lol.
Not excusing what Channel 3 have done, although I'm not sure if it's exactly racism, but colorism? I think that's…
I agree. I hope that they learned from those incidents and know that what they did is not a good thing. People in Asia do tend to caricatured of black people and somehow they do get away with it. But these days, I do start to see more asian people stand up for the way blackface is shown on TV or show.
And about colorism, I agree with you too. Colorism is indeed really dangerous, and that was what I thought initially about those incidents of Ch. 3. If you have light skin, you are seen better in thailand regardless of your race. That's why I am so glad see the more tan and darker skin Thai actors like the ones you've mentioned. I hope Thailand changes for the better though.

In a world where information is more easily access, you would think many people would be more aware, but the honest truth is that not many people are that much aware. This is what I learned from my experiences from interactions with many people in general. Although I did thought it was colorism, I then realized it is also racism. It's both. Some people intentionally know what they are doing, while some really don't. I'm sure people corrected them already.

Full version: 60 minutes
TV Aired Version: 40 minutes
Anyone want to spoil me about the whole situation with Tawan? Lol
The Say NO SOTUS MV was bad lol. In my eyes, it only gain popularity for the opposite reason lol.
