The first episode is free on iQIYI/Tencent, but then you would need to subscribe to watch the rest.

For newer dramas, yep. They do have some available that are older for free.

Lately, most do end up on iQIYI. Examples: Echoes of the Self, You Have My Heart, Luminosity Behind the Palace, Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance. For Viki, I can only think of An Ancient Love Song. Almost all of the Bilbili dramas do end up on YouTube tho.
