Okay I finally finished POJ and I have thoughts. This is a solid 8.5/10 for me. I was this close to giving it a 9 because the first half?? absolutely chef’s kiss 😘 everything was hitting, the pacing, the tension, the storytelling… I was fully locked in. But somewhere around the second arc, it kind of lost me a bit. It honestly felt like the writing shifted midway...things started to feel rushed, and some side character moments felt unnecessary. I just wish they had kept that same tight focus on the leads like they did in the first half.
Still, overall it was a really decent watch, and I actually discovered so many new actors I’m now keeping my eye on: Snow Kong, Deng Kai, Lin Muran, Shawn Zhang, and Li Qing ❤️🔥
And can we talk about Changyu??? She was on fire this entire drama. I love how strong and composed she is, and her fight scenes were so satisfying to watch. What makes it even better is that contrast, she looks so soft and cute, but she’s actually deadly. I’m obsessed.
And Zhang Linghe… don’t even get me started. He looked insanely handsome here, I was getting distracted every single episode. Like why is he the finest general to ever exist in dramaland?? I was literally losing focus half the time just staring at him. 😭
I really wish we got more steamy moments between the leads because the chemistry was THERE… but ugh, censorship really said no. 😩
Have you heard of dark romance? Just because women romanticize some fictive characters and their behavior doesn't…
IFKR ....Xiezheng here is even toned down when he's so much more in the novel😂 some people tend to have this entitlement in this app it's tiring because these types of users are always in every drama I watch.

say it louder for people at the back!! this!! 👏 i'm so tired of this type of comment policing everyone like they need to chill let people enjoy the show not like we're too dumb to comprehend between fiction and reality 🤦♀️
Might just be me, but I think FCY went a little over the top by knocking out the Li guy unconscious 👀...It just didn't sit right with me how she had to take his 'right' to choose when it's his life after all and not hers. I feel sorry for the Li guy and like he said, he barely even managed to fight or like see his master He for the last time and say goodbye which I think is the worst part of it all. He just woke up to the news of his master dead 💔 I loved her bravery and strength to fight in the battle field but what she did here is clearly wrong no matter what her reason was for it, she clearly had no right to steal someones choice. Her bravery equals her wrecklessness 🥲 I think she needs to learn more and not just use strength for everything.
i didn't like how she was dubbed. the voice made her sound like an old lady
her voice is perfectly suited for her character who is strong...i wouldve hated it if her voice was made to sound like a child that would be so annoying
Chemistry? Where?? The girl is shaking every time they are together. They do look good aesthetically, but it is…
“Chemistry” doesn’t have to mean intimate scenes or obvious romance. Sometimes it’s just the tension in the way they look at each other—the charged glances, the subtle shifts in expression, the way you can feel something every time they interact. It’s that unspoken energy, like some invisible chemical reaction happening on screen. That's chemistry. That’s when you know the acting is really working. And on top of that, they visually look good together too.
It’s always the 2nd CP that gets me… Qimin is literally a walking red flag—ruthless and evil—but why is he so hot?? And his chemistry with Yu Qianqian is actually destroying me 😭
The only ones I really can see working is Han/Angus. They actually seem insanely compatible, in terms of both…
I wish I could like your comment more than once. I'm glad someone finally mentioned about the whole Yihan and Michael incident. They've been hating on Yihan ever since that incident and labelling her a redflag when Michael wasn't as sincere either; like when he found out he could have more option other than Yijia because Yihan expressed her feelings to him, he suddenly switched narratives when we know he clearly had been set on Yijia since day one hence he was so heartbroken when they didn't get that date. Too bad not many people notice this. I also like Wanwan she's really pretty and love her vibe but I guess we can't force feelings.
Tianyu and Yihan clicked so quickly the moment they met and their first date must have played a huge factor because it was so good! one of the best dates tbh. I agree both of them really make up a good CP, they take things slow at a pace where both of them can feel comfortable, they don't force things and I find both of them to be very mature and secure. That's what you call emotional intelligence and both of them have it. I really love the two of them.
I dont know many people in comment section on we tv not liking yihan m say they are just contract cp
these people might just be jealous or are either fans of michael, they;ve been hating on her and trying to shade her and tianyu calling them fake but they're now proven wrong
