Can someone who has finished the drama please spoiler me was to what happens at the end? I'm up to ep 27 but rapidly losing interest and don't think I will finish but I'm still curious how everyone ends up.
"Love of divine tree has to be the most equal OTP I've maybe ever seen. I'm not talking in terms of how much they…
"They've both been each other's masters and disciples, they've lost their memories and had the other person love them and protect them and they fell in love again, they both died or tried to die to save the world and each other, they both served as each other's homes when they had none. And it's reflected even in their last scene, instead of one of them taking on the house duties what do they do? They draw lots every day and take turns doing chores and taking care of their litter of kids while the other lounges drinking or playing the qin."
"Love of divine tree has to be the most equal OTP I've maybe ever seen. I'm not talking in terms of how much they love or sacrifice for each other, although that's definitely a part of it. But rather how the narrative took care to always put them in each other's shoes in a unending and beautiful cycle of care and protection, they've changed places countless times and have been exactly through what the other person went through. "
I'm not liking how the guy is always hurting the fl and chooses the other girl from the brothel over fl and didn't…
To be fair, he was between rock and hard place, had to choose between love vs duty. He knew the emperor would save FL (well... at least he would try his best), but no one will save brothel girl if he didn't go. I can understand his choice. I would think less of him had he gone against his character and chosen to neglect his responsibility.
I was kinda taken aback when I realized that the twins in Battle of Changsha (Yang Zi and Niu Junfeng) are now apparently dating and kissing each other in the first 5 min of the show. 😅
I don't agree with u.. He is that good... #imho 'coz whenever I see him I always curse him for being useles person..…
I couldn't decide whether tony yang is a really good actor or a really bad one lol. If it was his intention to look super depressed all the time, then he definitely succeeded. I literally sighed every time he came on screen, he was such a sad sack. Agree with you about the actor playing song huai en, he noticeably overacts especially when the character started turning bad. his (supposedly villainous?) low batman voice cracks me up every time.
You got me, I'm in AO3, almost all day, every day, these days, reading fan fiction! I also started my own au mdzs…
I'm so glad AO3 is getting the attention it deserves! This has been my crack for the last couple months, and I'm still going strong lol.
I briefly pondered writing FF for a hot second, but immediately realized I just don't have the creative juices to be a writer. But I'll totally read the heck out of your FF though!
It's nice that you articulated the same things I felt about the show. I don't understand how people overrate some…
It sounds like this is not the right genre for you, especially when you say you haven't liked any Wuxia shows. Although I have to say this is more like Xianxia (with the cultivation and the flying on swords) than Wuxia.
I've come to realize that ratings are only applicable when it's something you would've watched anyway. For example, there was a war movie that was unanimously loved by critics and audience alike and received all kinds of awards. I got dragged to go see it and I kinda hated it, because I just don't like war movies.
I loved NiF, but even that has boring parts, and was quite confusing at the beginning. I don't judge a show based on just one or a few episodes. If you haven't liked it by episode 35 though, it's probably time to move on. In what world is this better than NiF? Apparently in THIS world according to the majority of watchers lol. "Better" is subjective. NiF was a masterpiece but I have zero desire to rewatch, while I'm still obsessed with this drama weeks after watching it. They are each "better" than the other in different ways.
I agree that this drama is nowhere near perfect, especially technically (and it probably couldn't have been given its budget). But what it has is SOUL... and for that I love it (and so do many many other people it seems), despite all its shortcomings.
What a surprising adaptation! The way they made things make sense was really smart. The beautiful, yet not overdone…
I actually thought the styling was really good here. I think XZ looks so much better as WWX than he does in his other works (Jade Dynasty movie, etc). LWJ's styling can be inconsistent at times but WYB was beautiful enough to make it work lol.
Need to share this. https://twitter.com/aenimj/status/1169037726038949888?s=21Somebody on twitter showed this.…
I remember seeing pictures of the bruises on their lips but didn't understand the significance... are they implying that there was a cut scene where they were kissing?
any veteran wuxia watcher here notice the different in the plot?after ep 40 i feel something weird compare to…
yes! at first i thought it was because my memory of this part of the story is fuzzy. but it does seem like they're taking a lot of liberties with the plot. i'm not sure i'm liking the deviations so far... waiting to see if there's eventually going to be a point to all the changes, but so far the latest episodes have been kinda underwhelming.

Then you can use the sort and filter options on the right to narrow down the list as you like.
