On What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Jun 14, 2018
Can I just say how badass Mi so is at her job and outside of it? She is pretty damn good and even Yeong Joon can barely keep up with her. After seeing so many drama description that says the female lead is the legend at X but don't actually show her working (looking at you, Jugglers), it's really nice to see a female lead who is competitive, hard-working and a professional badass.

She is my new girl crush. Soo Ji in Because this is my first life still has a big chunk of my heart.

I decided to give this a try since I was bored regardless of all the negative comments.I watched episode 1 and…
Glad to hear. I made it through episode 1 and didn't even bother with the rest.

I continued reading the comments to see if it got better but looks like it didn't. I think I dodged a bullet there.

Not just a bit, I was hella annoyed by her newly awoken elitism. I can kiiiinda understand where she's coming…
I got the feeling from the beginning that she was a VERY sheltered woman whose husband probably spoiled her.

She probably wants Sae Woo to marry someone rich because he can take care of her daughter. She has to remember though that rich =/= nice, caring, compassionate as obvious from Sae Woo's ex-husband disappearing as soon as shit hits the fan.

I am glad to see Sae Woo is made of tougher stuff and is more open-minded than her mother.

Title Wok of Love
Was anyone else a bit annoyed when Sae Woo's mom told Chil Seong that he wasn't good enough for her daughter? The mother can't even take care of herself let alone her daughter. More importantly, Chil Seong was the one there for Sae Woo when she really needed help.

Also telling her daughter she will take her to live near her father in prison if she falls in love with Poong. How old do you think Sae Woo is? 12?

I can't tell who Sae Woo likes more, between the husband, Poong and Chil Song. #soconfused

Review Rich Man
As someone who works in the tech industry, I couldn't agree more with what you said. That work environment is toxic and turned me off big time.

I didn't even noticed that they removed "Poor woman" from the title. Good catch.

Was it just me or did anyone find the tattoo scene annoying? Like the dude bought the restaurant and your boss…
I agree with you that, as chefs, they don't really have the right attitude. They are cooks not because they necessarily want to but because their boss told them to. That's why it doesn't bother them that their restaurant has been empty for a year or that their food doesn't taste good. It never occurred to them to improve.

To be fair, Seo Poong doesn't really cook for the right reasons either right now (all of it for revenge), but at least he has the skills to back it up.

I am excited for all of them to work together. For the thugs to learn to take pride in their craft and for Seo Poong to remember he cooked because he loved it.

They are following the Jdrama main points, and he was also a jerk towards her but her personality changes him…
What irks me is his smile every time he humiliates someone. He looks borderline sadistic when he does that.

I watched the first episode and I am not sure what to think. On one side, the female lead is very cute and I like her positive energy. On the other however, I really don't like the CEO. I know rich main lead who is a jerk but becomes good thanks to the woman he loves is a common in drama land but I found him cruel more than a jerk.

That survival game? Erk, what kind of work environment is that?

Gurl! preach! BY is not a rehabilitation centre for a man with huge behavioural problems. Women are not here to…
YES! So many dramas focus on a good woman healing/fixing a bad man so I am very glad this show is stepping away from that.

I wish I could downvote a comment.
Same. The actress is 27 and the actor 34. A 7 years difference is nothing between consenting adults.

Title My Mister Spoiler
earlier in the drama i can already see that they lack communication in their marriage. it's always one is home…
I got the feeling she cheated because she felt emotionally starved. Dong Hoon tried so hard to provide for her physical needs (buying her whatever she wanted) that he didn't consider her emotional ones. Probably, because she is so successful, he assumed she didn't need taken care of but he was wrong as his wife does need attention.

I think she went to the CEO because they were college friends and he was someone she could complain about Dong Hoon to. She did that ep 2 (or 3?).

I think it's more about having to wait. I have Netflix Canada but it still doesn't show up and I am not sure how long we have to wait until it does. :(

Yeah, that baby was confusing.

I quit the show when the dragon appeared. 18 hrs of waiting for this?!? This had to be the worst CGI I have ever seen. I read the finale in a recap and it didn't seem to improve so I didn't even bother.

I liked Son Oh Gong but the fact that he was so awesome made Sun Mi even more boring in comparison.

And you bring a good point about Sun Mi's powers. Why introduce them (ep 15-16, right?) and then never use them?

That was my issue with the show too. All the female characters died to save the males. For a show written by two woman, I thought this was extremely sexist.

Also, Sun Mi's character was too flat for me. We are somehow supposed to believe she never cut herself before Oh Gong appeared in her life? How did she fight off demons before? For someone who fights ghosts and demons, she looked very helpless.

I totally agree with you. I don't like what i see at all. Nor Seol-Ok, nor Detective Ha.And Kyung-Mi on police…
I am with you. Those two points didn't make sense to me either. It would have been way more fun if they had spent the season trying to figure out Seol Ok's parent murder and Wan Seung's ex girlfriend instead of will-she-won't-she pass the police exam?
