I think it’s not even Don‘s death itself, that triggered Akin to finally start to communicate, but rather Pond‘s reaction and emotional state after Don died. which in my eyes makes it even weirder. Pond is his friend and he „uses“ his friend‘s trauma as a catalyst to finally do the bare minimum of communicating.

So a man had to literally die, just so Akin would finally talk to Than about what happened?

But Teh also doesn’t respect his brother enough to have an actual in depth conversation with him.
They are both lacking a lot of communication skill imo

It really would not have been hard for Teh to just tell Toh that Jimmy is going after Fah and is actually just using him. But instead he gives the same warning his brother obviously didn’t really listen to the first time. So why exactly would he think the second time would be different?

Toh made this decision and is going behind his brothers back BECAUSE Teh is treating him like a child and doesn’t seem to want to let Toh have his own life. Not the other way around.
Toh has been shielded from negative things by Teh for years, so of course he will make bad decisions now. Yes he is an adult and still responsible for his own dumb decisions, but these decisions are also influenced by Teh‘s weird coddling of his brother.

Here’s to hoping that Toh will actually grow a back bone when it comes to Jimmy lol

Well if my brother treated me like a clueless child like Teh does to Toh, I would probably also not listen to him. Teh doesn’t treat his brother like an adult who can make his own decisions. Also the warning of someone being a „player“ really just says nothing. That can literally mean anything from someone flirting a lot to someone constantly cheating. But Teh doesn’t elaborate. If he just told Toh from the beginning that Jimmy is an asshole who is going after Fah, Toh might’ve actually gotten an idea about what Teh means.
Toh is still at fault for not being cautious around Jimmy, but Teh really can’t keep playing the concerned brother, if he doesn’t actually talk to his brother about his concerns.

With the way he infantilises Toh and doesn’t actually have an honest conversation with him, I am not surprised that Toh doesn’t listen to him. He never actually said anything other than that Jimmy is a player.
And now he has this weird deal with Jimmy and just accepts it. He should’ve told Toh about the photos Jimmy sent him and not just pretended he didn’t know anything. Toh obviously is also choosing to ignore all the waving red flags, but I feel like if Teh was really this concerned about his brother he could’ve been more open about everything. He knows Jimmy is just using Toh to get to Fah and he didn’t even think of telling him that. I get that he wants to protect his brothers feelings but this is not the way imo.

I am honestly hoping that he will get some kind of satisfying revenge on Jimmy

Jimmy, Teh and Fah are going to make this messy as hell and I am hear for it. It’s very obvious that all three of them are not ment to be great characters and I honestly love that.

I feel a bit sorry for Toh, but he also overheard Jimmy and still didn’t push him away. So that is partly on him.

I know we are all waiting for the moment Jimmy gets a taste of his own medicine and cries for Toh, but I also need Toh to put Teh in his place. It is also partly his fault that Jimmy zeroed in on Toh. He also makes this deal with Jimmy and is just accepting that Toh is just a chess piece for Jimmy. If he really was as worried as he always says he is, he would have an actual open conversation with Toh and not just tell him to stay away from Jimmy because he’s a player. That is not how you protect your brother from an asshole like this. This is just weak and I am really losing so much respect for him every episode.

Teh is honestly the worst so far.In the last episode he slept with the guy his best friend likes (or wants to get with or whatever) while said best friend and his own BROTHER are in the room. And now he acts like an absolute piece of shit by acting like a friend to Jimmy‘s face and behind his back trying to get his crush. Jimmy is obviously not innocent himself, but Teh is being an absolute asshole while preaching to his brother what an asshole Jimmy is. I guess birds of a feather and all that but still.


PS. I cannot get over the fact that Teh had sex while his own brother was in the same room. That will sour my opinion of him for the rest of the series no matter if/how he will redeem himself for his general assholeness

I am kind of over the „best friend being in love with mc and then suddenly the mc also loves them back, even though they hadn’t had any romantic feelings for them ever but suddenly they look back and everything they did together is now painted in a romantic light“ trope
It was cute the first couple of times, but please for the love of everything holy just let the mc have a best friend without it turning romantic.
Especially if we have other very viable options.

The teamleader and cafe guy were done kinda dirty. They were just serving as a backdrop for a story I have already seen a million times.
