While Good Morning Call has its charms, it ultimately fell short of my expectations. One of the main drawbacks for me was the character of Hishashi Uehara. He lacks the conviction and emotional depth I look for in a lead, often coming across as expressionless—like a stone, in fact. This makes it challenging to connect with him or truly invest in his journey.

Additionally, the visuals felt outdated and unappealing, detracting from the overall experience. The aesthetic didn’t do justice to the story being told, leaving it feeling flat at times.
