Of books, friendships and second chances.
Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. I guess I had high expectations, but this k-drama sort of fell a little flat for me. Predictable story line, and in all honesty there were no big problems throughout the storyline. Not a bad show, but I wasn’t getting excited to watch it like I have with other dramas. This show was pretty fun, but the romance didn't work for me. The age gap between the main leads was awkward. The characters were charming but the whole book theme was pretty heavy handed. Light and easy to watch, it was entertaining but it didn't stick with me.

I just loved it soo much.
This kdrama leaves a subtle feeling to the viewers- peace! It teaches us with so many life lessons and that is to be thankful for every circumstances we encounter and to see every obstacles as a lesson. It teaches us that life is only fleeting and that we need to write every pages beautifully without regrets! It teaches us to say “Goodbye” with a smile on our faces even when it tear us apart because it gives us peace which will help us move on.Overall, this Drama is a must watch - the moment I watched the very first episode I was so committed and invested to watch the rest non stop. Every ending of each episode just makes you want to know more and watch more of it. Which is fantastic. The writer did an outstanding job, the ending left a good feeling - at least to me. Even though I was literally sobbing, it was truly an amazing story.

This series is definitely worth watching.
I absolutely LOVED this drama. It had the perfect balance of humour and action/violence, and there were many genuinely laugh-out-loud moments starting from the first episode. I had previously only seen Song Joongki in Descendants of the Sun, and while he was amazing there too, he has grown and matured so much as an actor. As the character Vincenzo, he COMMANDS respect and attention.Overall, I would be lying if I said I didn’t have more to say about this drama because I could keep going on and on. Every character has portrayed their role in such an exemplary manner, down to the damn pigeon.

Like how did I go so long without knowing anything about this show??
Hooked from the first episode and I binged it in two days. I loved the soul revival marble, it was a very interesting twist throughout the story that filled you with anxiety. The mystery of the serial killer and his accomplice kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I was rolling in laughter with the spin on Go Se Yun/Lee Mi Do hot mess! It was hilarious and the duo we didn't know we needed! The love story behind our main couple was everything! Like how sweet and unexpected, their story was years long and their bond was special. Was this review helpful to you?
I ended up not liking it as much as I thought.
The King has so much potential to be a great drama. From their promising cast, director, and interesting storyline, I had high hopes that this drama will do well. As I watched each episode, I waited and was hopeful that the next episode would be better. I thought maybe it's starting off slow because they're trying to slowly develop the characters and the depth of the story. At this point, I'm watching mostly for scenes of Yeong/Eun sup for some comic relief (favorite characters!) But as I approached episodes 7-8, which is enough time to build up the story and anticipation, I realized that it's just been poor storytelling, writing, and an overall lack of flow to this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Survival Has Never Looked So Addictive
“Squid Game” is wild—in the best way. The idea of turning simple kids’ games into deadly challenges is both creepy and genius, and it keeps you hooked episode after episode. The set design is crazy cool, the tension is nonstop, and the characters actually make you care about what happens to them.It does drag here and there, and some parts feel a bit familiar if you’ve seen other survival shows, but overall it’s intense, emotional, and super addictive. Definitely worth the hype, just not quite perfect.
