omg thank you for letting me know the real canon ending is happiness with my boy lol I think I'll have to read it. If I ever rewatch i'll just skip the last episode. we don't actually know xiwu in the real world so there's no reason to root for them and holy shit he and her ex are full of red flags in her head. if someone who doesn't have all these red flags is only a dream then we're all screwed huh

He was so abusive and such an annoying mama's boy to the point he slapped his wife and kicked her out for it just looking like maybe possibly she tried to hurt the awful MIL. the worst part was how often he broke her heart and kicked her out and said something like "oh I'll bring her back when my mommy lets me." treating her like a yoyo he could play with and love then hurt and abuse and kick out only to bring her back whenever HE felt like it, he never ever ever thinks about her feelings or opinions. and he basically just gets wore and worse in this aspect. zero growth and honestly zero brains for our alleged "best detective." he also never apologised once??? when he slapped her, abused her, spit on her, didn't trust her, lied to her, tried to force himself on her....omg writing it all down he's just the woooorrsssttttt. idk if people 10 year ago were really so ok with this...the reviews seem to be saying that but hopefully it's just skewed data... worst ml ever i think. people can't see past the attractive face to just how terrible this character was to literally everyone except his awful mother. absolutely insufferable.

i kept trying to get through this drama but i dropped it for good after the lack of consent scene was treated romantically??? it might be one of the most triggering scenes especially because of the fact that it was treated as a positive and sweet thing and all the reviews were raving so i felt so gaslit
