I am rewatching this and thoroughly enjoying it. Just a weird note - maybe it's just me, but the setting of the lake surrounded by mountains, the steep road up to the school on top of the hill - it is giving me Your Name (Kimi no Na Wa) vibes.

The sound is too echo-y and feels like it was recorded on a cell phone. The show isn't bad, but it feels like a home-made student movie.

I don't have a problem with the friend and his eating. As an introvert myself, I start cringing at the trope of the overloud, never-shuts-up, asks personal questions all the time and never lets anyone have any privacy, room mate. Also the girl who doesn't take a hint. I hope she just becomes a friend and not a pushy wanna-be girlfriend.
