I feel the same way, ML was a jerk. And even at the breakfast table TT didn't even utter a single word of him getting her drunk. TT maybe childish but always mature in handling matters. Love her character!

Oh please don't compare Lusi with Dilreba , I can't even stand DD acting she makes me cringe , I would accept if you compare Lusi with Liu Yifei (yes I considered her a outstanding C-actress though I'm not a fan of her) . I always believe Lusi is a brilliant actress and her future is bright ahead of her... both of her movie last year LLTG & WRTW was a big hit and was more serious then HG, isn't this movie just some immortal acting , I never thought Xianxia to be too serious of a drama..

I think Lusi will do well, last year she already made a blockbuster hit in WRTW & LLTG and still ongoing hit drama, and even got the outstanding actress for the drama so hope to see her make another blockbuster hit for this show... i watched the Ancient love poetry and for some reason the first half of the episodes I can't get the FL acting connected with the story, she smiles a lot and not much of an act so I dropped the show mid way so maybe she progressed later at the end of the show but I didn't finish it as I didn't see the connection with her and ML as well. I thinkLusi is a brilliant actress and the character suits her in HG, so let's just enjoy this upcoming S+drama.

I agree the hero is supposed to be young, and Wang Anyu and Lusi are of the same age so they'll have great chemistry for sure

isn't the pre-quel of this drama "Ancient Love Poetry" is all about the heroine as well? ZhouDanyu was FL in the drama and XuKai helped the heroine to defeat the enemy. So if JingBoran wants to be the center of this drama then it's not for him, anyway Wang Angyu is a lot younger as it is supposed to be the young Hero of this show and is a perfect ML for this role of the same age as Lusi to help the heroine .. so no loss, both Lusi and Wang are great together too.

He's quite a good actor as well, check him out in Dreaming back in Qing Dynasty , To Fly with you, Falling into you,.. he got great appeal, and same as age as Lusi, while JingBoran might be older in this role since it's supposed to be a young teen hero to start with, so i think Wang will have a great chemistry with our baby Lusi for sure

and that's how i like to see our boy courting the woman he loves, starts with the pancake, after all the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and that apply to NiaoNiao just as how Yao won her heart LOL.... and so their heart fluttering courtship begins :) ...

CSS is not someone who can easily trust to anyone due to her upbringing, even her family she can't trust... LBY needs to woo and court her to gain her trust not putting her on the spot to propose thinking she would be so ecstatic. She wants mutual respect and we all do in a relationship... in a relationship I'm already married and I want my husband to respect my will and individuality as much as I respect his, sorry i'm not a subservient wife lol.. that's not mutual love.

i agree it would be freaky to have someone proposed to me while we he never even courted or expressed his feelings towards me... and proposing to a girl without her consent or even telling her?, that's definitely a "no" for any independent girl in my humble opinion.... that's why I understand where CSS is coming from.

you got to understand, LingBuyi proposed to her in front of everyone without her consent, it was like he drop it on her lap like he's expecting her to be ecstatic... NiaoNiao is different & loves her independence and she doesnt care for high rank or power. I understand General Ling's arrogant demeanor but he still learn how to woo his woman or at least expressed his true feelings towards her prior to proposal that at least would be a different effect on her rather then being force to agree on a marriage by Ling & Emperor in front of everyone. Niao Niao thinks Ling is proposing to her for other reason than love , and as you know NN doesn't trust anyone until Yao.

Wasnt Yang Yang 's parents left her to her Aunts? Isn't that the same being abandon by parents and she only have to live with cousins ? although treated better then NN but her growing up before Aunt must be difficult, her father doesn't seems to care for her and her mom is a schemer and only wants her to keep studying and not really care of her as a child in need of love,... that's just my opinion, growing up with such parents only to be abandoned later to her Aunts despite they care for her, aint the same... we all need parent's love ;)

I kinda understand CSS feeling about this sudden engagement tho'; CSS doesn't trust anyone until Yao ; and Ling never court CSS before and his proposal was too sudden which feels like he just drop it to CSS lap like he would expect she would just be soo ecstatic ... I understand General Ling arrogance demeanor but CSS is different she prefers her independence and not care of his rank and power ... General Ling's feelings and good intentions were never expressed to CSS so by proposing like that in front of everyone without her consent, LingBuyi made CSS feelings taken for granted , so the more she's not trusting him... without any courtship from General Ling and at that point she has no choice but to obey the Emperor's approval of their betrothal as well as protecting her family .. she can only go with the flow without any feelings at all unless General Ling start to act like human and express his true feelings towards CSS then we'll see some two love birds in action lol ... otherwise I dont care if you're Tom Cruise I wouldn't want to just agree on a proposal in front of everyone who has not even courted me right? LOL

I saw in Episode 28 teaser, that General Ling started to woo NiaoNiao.. he's more understanding and courting her like human being...

I saw the teaser for Episode 28, so maybe to end Season there's 2 Episodes - 27 and 28! hope so ! can't have only 1 Ep to end the season 1 :D

I saw Tencent teaser for Episode 28 so hopefully there's Ep27 and Ep28 tomorrow to end theSeason 1 ... really can't wait for Season 2 !!

He did try his best to make them laugh LOL only the joke was probably a military joke , that bodyguard need another kick in the butt

General Ling doesn't know how to woo a woman, but I believe because ShaoSheng is different and not afraid of speaking her mind to General Ling, He will eventually give in and adjust to her and interact around her like human being ... just like he did try to humor CSS family with his joke that he thinks is funny LOL in his first dining with them but wasn't really a funny joke LOL ... but love the gesture since we all know General Ling never smile nor tries to impress anyone
except when he's with NN

I agree with you on this I'm not sure when in such a happy occasion like all the siblings get together, her face remains the same like always sad, maybe that's really how she has to portray YangYang in this show esp. having no parents loving her or doting on her, she was a sad child and insecure person after all...

I agree Yu is not someone I feel sorry about, he's actually cunning and mean to NN. For someone who wants to woo NiaoNiao ; he had shown so far a poor behaviour , he look down on her given in every opportunity whereas Ling is the opposite, he will always protect and take care of NN despite she has no feelings for him, Ling's selfless love is evident and consistent, it's not arrogance but love.
