From the very first scene, Love's Ambition grips with nail-biting intensity... I'm on Episode 6 now and oh boy I'm not looking forward to the Exposé ... heartbreak ahead and yet i also want to give them both a chance to be raw and honest to themselves... this is why i need to know SHM true intention towards XY... SHM character is still mysterious to me...
ML is actually aware of the lies FL tells, and he has protected her once or twice from the risk of being caught…
There were some unspoken moment when their true feelings were revealed ... i think he was interested in XuYan already the moment he saw her effort trying so hard even to fake her way in just to get interviewed by him... and SHM is maybe a controlled freak knowing that his parents are to him, he does shows some feelings of protection and care for her tho... esp. that height marking, cooking in the kitchen when he said he can help her because he's a family to her ... but for whatever his true reason of helping her despite knowing her schemes,.. maybe he does have some feelings towards her....
XuYan's grand wedding in Episode 6 was so beautiful, Lusi looks so gorgeous and ethereal in her white dress, her first GRAND wedding in Urban drama... and William is hot in tux whew the chemistry of these two....
This drama waste no time - nail-biting twists hit from episode one!! I already watched Episode 1 to 6, and it has been so exciting every episode! Dont miss this new side of Lusi's acting , a lot more matured role and William Chan in his enigmatic aura of a CEO role. Must watch!
Wow this drama is truly a Masterpiece! Completed all 3 last episodes and I was impressed of the brilliance of how the finale ends and the impeccable execution of their characters is really an award worthy! Kodus to the Production Team and to the entire tsopg casts esp. the main leads Zhao Lusi , Liu Yuning, Tang Xiaotan,... and btw DuanWu & YanZiJing chemistry here is soooo hot! my daily dose of happiness when they're intimately together and sometimes their flirting is funny and adorable! Tho this drama made me emotionally exhausted but knowing the ending now is also satisfying. So having the Express purchase for Advanced viewing is well worth it! :) As they say the truth will set you free , let fate dictates our lives ... enjoy life while we still can, life's too short right ? Thanks Yuoku for the emotional rollercoaster ride you made us TSOPG viewers felt all sort of emotions,... TBH I never cried a bucket of tears since watching this drama,... I like this type of historical drama, inspirational at the same time intriguing , not some kind of unrealistic & silly kinda costume drama... , can't wait to watch Ep25/26 , the trailer looks suspenseful...

Tang women were very free. Its only in later dynasties that became more and more restrictive for women.
That's probably true if she's from a rich family ,, but for the like of DuanWu where their option to live freely is quite slim but to marry or go after rich men ... Just like when DuanWu was a slave, her mom wanted her to find a man for it's the only way to get out from slavery farm ...not as the top pearl picker or top pearl seller... and later met YanZijing where she was treated equal , no favor , one has to work hard for it to gain one's desire.
Excited of today's Ep22/23 , DuanWu is about to live a new life under a new name SuMuZhe , her strength and determination inspires low self esteem women in this drama which is kinda realistic in ancient times , where women are only treated as domestic commodity/housewife. But DuanWu is about to change that perception about women in Tang society as we enter a new chapter of DuanWu's life in The story of Pearl Girl who escape from the slave farm and work tirelessly her way up to the jewelry business world. With Yan being indifferent of DuanWu, the romance would not be too soon or too far either in these few episodes coming up, however the more he pushes her out of harms way, the more DuanWu persist in achieving her self worth and ambition through her own effort & skills in the jewelry arena which Yan taught her so well LOL. but this is DuanWu taking control of her destiny :) As for the main casts, I must say having watched all 21 Ep, Yuning & Lusi Acting is another level, it's way above my expectation for costume historical drama, truly an Award worthy for their top notch acting performance, they just make you believe in the story not just some cliche storyline that most historical drama are made of.

I admire her character, she's independent, a fighter & determined to overcome life's adversary despite her poor upbringing . Hope she finds out the truth because Yan & DW strength & weakness compliments each other, I saw some good clip of them together like back as lovers ...
