Just watched the first episode, already made me hate Gu Jin.
then that means WangAngYu did a great job acting as GiuJin 😍 no worries love comes later.. In the novel, Gu Jin had to act the way he is , like a happy go lucky, no cares in the world immortal without power since his parent's abandoned him and her mom sealed his power.. so he is basically useless... until Ayin came to his life & help cultivate since Ayin need to cultivate to release her from his master/slave bond, so tho' they started young & hating each other but they will later find out how they actually need each other to succeed... and their love blossoms ayeeee 🥰

I dont really need to convince you but the CGI production here is the best one I've seen so far in xianxia, after all this is S+ drama. Have you seen the cutie Water beast ? luv to have a plushie like it :) the begining of the drama depicts the heavenly and dark realm that's how good the cgi is if u cant tell the surrounding where the actors are in ...

You really don't have to, but if you want to understand their parents background of how GuYin, Ayin came to being in TLI,...and their realm were destroyed in ALP,, it'll be nice to know.. this is a total package , a great story after all

In the novel, Gu Jin character is what it is in the beginning, he never cares about power or cultivation so he just became a happy go lucky type... his parents in ALP made him for what he is now, he was abandoned and his power was sealed and now his master paired him with Water Beast Ayin who will encourage him to cultivate since both will benefit from it, Ayin will get released from the master/slave bond with him and so is GuYin. But with this trick, GuYin will start cultivating with the help of Ayin. As you know GuYin didn't start any love to Ayin but more of annoyance following him
Totally enjoyed the first initial 4 episodes ! Production & CGI is brilliant, worthy of S+ drama, this drama reminds me of Ashes of Love & Ten Miles of Peach blossom.... full of young loves and discovery. I like they started with the current matured FengYin and GuYin searching for her so we know later the story how it'll unfolds...the Ep1 comes with the beginning of Ayin rebirth that GuYin killed already LOL , oh such a fate! ... I thought they would meet in Ep1 rebirth of 2nd phoenix queen LOL... well that's how the story begins , a long journey of love, hate & adventure .. can't wait to see more

HL is very popular and still trending #1 in Youku as All time best since it was aired in July so that weights more than those toxic whose out to detroy this masterpiece of a drama.
