His nose looks larger and different in his latest drama or am I imagining things? I could hardly even recognize him. Not that there's anything wrong with it of course <3
Yeah I loved Yitong and Yanlin's story, especially how they had realistic issues of how their differences of what they wanted in life affected their relationship. And Yanlin got married?! I didn't know :0 Congrats to him! <3 That's why I liked Neo and Chaoyue the best too. The editing didn't pair them up as all lovely dovey and they just seemed like close friends that cared for eachother. Like...Jasper and Qin Lan...the garfield plush?? and the whole thing about them 'fake dating' and running back to each other to embrace at the end? So scripted and forced. Idk why they made them like that either. I kinda feel like they were told to do that for viewership.
Out of all of them I enjoyed Jasper and Qin Lan's story the best just because I thought it flowed better in terms of pacing, character building and overall it had a unique story idea. The ending had me in tears :( My fav 'couple' though was Chao Yue and Neo as they didn't seem as forced as the others.
Make a season 2 and bring back the cop...I just need it because my heart hurts. Wouldn't it be so cool if S1 was him trying to find/save his brother and then S2 is him taking down his brother. The brother would be the leader now right? Since the old man is dead.
Does anyone know if we are getting a season 2? I feel like we were supposed to get another season but I'm guessing didn't happen :( I personally really enjoyed this as weird as it was. I think those that gave it a low rating didn't understand that we weren't meant to be given the answers. We were meant to analyse everything for ourselves and thats what I love about it. There were a lot of hidden meanings but this whole drama to me was about not fitting in with the norm, e.g. people who see ghosts, people with disabilities, kids being bullied at school, sexuality and more. I love Eun Young sm. She is extremely socially awkward and doesn't have many friends but she is still so badass with her sword. In Pyo was honestly so sweet. Would have been nice for their relationship develop past a friendship in S2.
It was cute and all the actors are great. Will definitely check out their dramas. The only thing was the entire thing was highly staged and edited. Idk why they try to make it seem lovely dovey between the actors when it's not.
For me, this drama was about how society judges what is right there in front of us without figuring out the whole picture. Mirae was first shunned because she was deemed ugly by others and then when she does get plastic surgery, she was on the way to being completely shunned again. The issue here is that too much emphasis is being put on people's outside appearance being 'pretty' and not how people are inside. Mirae had a pretty heart but others refused to see it due to her looks. Whereas Sua had an ugly heart but others were blinded by her 'pretty' outward appearance. Let me clarify that you were SUPPOSED to find the character of Sua annoying and unlikable. That was the whole point. We as viewers could see she was being fake and manipulative. We could see it but the characters couldn't. But do you know what? The hard truth is that people like her exist in real life and a lot of the time we can't pick them and even NEVER find out who they really are or what they are going through. Even then, if we do figure out the facade, we immediately judge them without trying to understand. Everyone has their own side of the story and no one is just one-dimensional.
Just finished this drama. To sum up my thoughts: 1. Would have made a better plot if the child was actually their son instead of her brother. 2. Second male lead deserved more of a story instead of being the classic best friend in love. 3. The bra pad thing was a bit....odd. 4. Light and cute fluffy moments between the couple that gives a nice break from serious, depressive dramas. 5. That scene at the playground where he lifts the kids to go down the slide was the cutest thing, again, I wish it was his kid.
Brilliant, amazing, spectacular! <3 This is SO well written, one of the best articles I've ever read. Please write many more articles on dramas. I wasn't sure if I should watch this drama but you after reading this, you have definitely made me want to start it! Also, LGBT+ rep. PLZ KOREA MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Am I the only one that actually really liked Jojo and HyeYoung together? They were adorable together and their relationship was healthy. I thought their relationship was much more natural and mature than the other one and HyeYoung was a much nicer person and always considered her feelings. I also like the meaning behind it. You don't always end happily ever after with your first love. Feelings can change and Jojo grew into a stronger person and I think Hyeyoung matched her personality of who she grew to be. I found Sun Oh to be quite immature. He still has a lot of growing to do but I liked that he moved on in the end. This is just my own personal opinion ofc :)
As an artsy creative person myself, I loved this drama so much, HOWEVER...Is it just me or the fact that she still had all the posters and merch of Cha Shi Ahn's face everywhere in her house even after finding out he is the brother of her boyfriend is just a bit much and very inappropriate? I get she's a fangirl but come on, you would think she would take some of it down by that point.
