For me this was my first ever Cdrama, so everything was new.. even his voice.. so it did sound apt for his role. But now maybe diff since I have seen his other dramas..

Thank you so much, for this detailed info. I have been following up on this issue but being Intl fan who doesn't know the language its very difficult to know. I always hoped that, somehow eventually this issue will be sorted out and they will bring out Season 2.
During the Covid pandemic lock down just by chance I happened to see a clip of the scene where "Xinger doing the test for YWYs chambermaid" with English's subtitles. I was pretty curious/ interested and searched for the origin of that and came across this drama Princess Agents in Youtube.
I binged all 58 episodes (took my mind off covid and lock down) and was so impressed with this tremendous creation. The story, the actors, the acting, cinematography, the locations, the setting, costumes... all so amazing, captivating. I realized the ending was not apt, since there are so many loose ends.. I searched for info on this... and came across the book and its English translation.. very difficult to read b'coz so many characters and names which went right over my head... the adaptation is much better... but I was happy there is rainbow at the end of the tunnel.. I watched it again few times.. till I I couldn't anymore. But searched for similar stories.. and started my trip in to this Chinese drama world.
I thought this and "Stand by Me" were done around same time... bcoz in that TV show they ask Cheng Yi to name the singer.. he said straight away its YuXi.. he knows bcoz we just did two dramas together... Thats 2020... whatever happened to this one's release.. so many people are looking forward to this.
Tian Xi Wei, I saw her first in "Lovely Us" the drama was too good. Then be my cat, funny romcom, Ms. Cupid in Love, the main leads looked awesome together.. Then New Life Begins, the whole drama was good. but her best drama IMO is still "Lovely Us".
I think her next drama is coming out also this month, Wrong Carriage, Right Groom...
I am on Episode 12 and was watching the conversation between Dr. Su and Xu Banxia, its soo profound. How Simply with no drama, no make up, She delivers such lines of truth without hurting his feelings. I was amazed. What acting..! cant get enough of this...! btw she looked gorgeous with her hair falling around the face and no make up look...
I liked the way every twist and turns resulted positively... and amazed the story didn't change Hao Jin to evil... inf act her part is really good, even looks handsome as a boy...! a very positive drama so far.

Of course its a compliment..... ha! Preen on! Reminds me of Dr. Bai Shu of "Thank you Doctor" which I am watching just for Bai Yu. I really enjoy his acting and His character is top in this..!
Lack of communication - I feel the 36 episode is due to that for example, when they were staying in the homestay, due to road block, the ML should have taken the initiative of having a serious conversation, than being so hesitant and dragging on, then pretending to be sick and that scenario. Just my opinion.!
Earlier I used to read Reviews only and watch dramas, then I have realized after few disappointments, that the reviews are sooo self opinionated and biased towards their idols. There are few people who also gives unbiased and open reviews. I really need to note them.
After going through the comments section I realized its much better to get diff views, then decide to watch and always loves a healthy discussion.

Hmmm.. They both were so in love, so why obligation. the Ultimatum was bcoz of Fie er, that she might use them again and again as long as she is around when they are in Hupu. Here its the lack of communication, yes he said he was afraid to tell her.. and burden her.... I understand its twist in the plot, but thats unrealistic for me. But i continued.. still feel like kicking him a bit to open his mouth and talk ... One stand out quality in the ML is, he is steady about not messing with Fie er at all ever since he became the boyfriend of FL, (which i rarely see in any drama usually stories use some sympathy note to soften the ML then misunderstanding ) here she doubts bcoz of her insecurity.. Many people commented about him running away with the bride leaving his girl behind, thats bcoz he didnt take care of the security which led to people walking all the way to the brides chamber.. where was the brides maid.. who is supposed to accompany her not to socialize on her own..... so there are few things like that in the story... but its still good.. btw I started watching this after reading your positive comments /review on this drama which I agree from what i see so far... I am on ep 27 now. thanks..
I am on ep 21, I have really liked this story, but here is where they failed me. Its a very natural thing to inform your loved on if you have an emergency in your family. Here he is not calling or didn't even inform her of his father's death. I think its her right to pay respect, also its respecting his father to inform of his death esp since he liked her and told the ML to go and explain to her.
Just finished watching, I find Song Wei Long and Zhang Yujin 's acting the best in the drama, FL was not convincing enough. May be I hate to see when they make a 32 year old so dense. I feel its a let down of the character. But the drama is good, though too many things stuffed inside unnecessarily. My God first time i am seeing David wang, he is a manipulative stalker who forced himself on you. He really did his part very well plus there was a fun side to him as well. I didn't like Esther Yu in the beginning.. b'coz of her squeaky baby talks... eeeek!! but she slowly grow on you with her cuteness...! But the brother .. was amazing! Song wei Long was very realistic as a young fellow so in love but forced to keep all inside him... Story was good in the first half.. the fear of community acceptance and its being accepted or affects the family... all these Anxy parts are very true. The brother sister bond and their interactions.. was the cream of this drama... really liked his acting more... esp his reactions of every comment and rolling eyes....ha!
If the ML is not eye candy many people dont watch... but seriously you should give it a go, unless you like only…
I think I sound as if I am pushing you to watch.. its just the conversation took that turn. Some dramas I happened to come across and I feel its overlooked by many and should recommend.. Same way I happened to watch "A familiar Stranger," and recommended all to give it a go... People have diff choices.. I have never seen Untamed, 10miles of peach blossoms, Ashes of Love or You are my Glory... bcoz i heard so much recommendation..... So I understand..! anyhow nice chatting!
