A visual feast and a lot of fun

This show starts out as a repeating comedy. The various sect disciples & elders are total absusive, ignorant a**holes who keep insisting that the ML is a piece of trash. He proves them wrong and presents clear evidence he's beyond what they thought and they all shut up for ... about 5 minutes. Then the next challenge of the story presents itself and the whole cycle repeats. Each time the various fools in his way say silly, ridiculous things and set arbitrary, ridiculous thresholds and each time he survives and exceeds. Eventually, it just becomes comedy. Like an SNL sketch (with much cooler special effects, of course!). And it's crazy just how stupid and morally broken nearly all the characters are in this world. The only truly decent characters are the Wife, the three Sword Immortals and Elder Yun. The ML is mostly in the 'right', but is starting to struggle a bit with where the Dugo Sword is taking him. Definitely agree with other fans who say it all felt like 'villain arc' but I think it is not that simple. As with other commenters, I'm eager to see if they do produce a sequel. Wifey's grin and comment at the end were intriguing. Overall, this was a fun, entertaining show. The production values are very good - some of the visual effects are delicious eye candy. The OST was pretty good too, especially for a short-format production. That cast was fully of beautiful people who all looked like they enjoyed this experience.
