I think social media spoiler posts, preview clips, etc., actually made me lose interest in the show. Now I'm mad at myself for ever looking for the show on X and others. I feel I've already seen the good/interesting/funny bits so why watch? arg! Anyone else?
So the ML and the Villain have BOTH massacred a town.
The FL loves the ML and tells him the massacre he did was justified at the beginning of the show. Now her townspeople were killed, and she's rightly upset.
I think it is interesting that both the hero and the baddy have done the same thing. I don't think I've seen this done in a show before.
in ep 27, according to the old man (ML's master), she has exceptional bones, a rare prodigy in martial arts, and…
It's still silly in my opinion to have a tiny, albeit strong woman who has never fought soldiers, suddenly become a badass war-fighter. Why is this necessary? It is all so tiresome - takes you out of the story. But I just roll my eyes and move on.
I am behind on episodes, and I don't know who we are supposed to find as the "good" side in this war.
The Prime Minister (the Wei Side) controls the Emperor and Prince C and his two sons are rebelling on the other side. I can see how both sides could see themselves as righteous. I mean, Prince C could say he is fighting the Wei side to free the Imperial Throne. The Wei side can say they are fighting a rebellion.
QQ, you really don't want to play chicken with a madman
I agree. We know he is a psycho. Without a child, maybe you can push back, but do you really want him to kill you and leave your son behind? Does refusing to dress and eat gain you anything?? Come on, ladies, we smarter than this. But I'm sure the show had to do it so it can show how extra crazy he is.
The sadness of men leaving their homes in episode 17 makes the forced conflict at the end of episode 16 seem a waste.
Slapping and holding a knife to your love bc you are angry, while others cry as their family members are dragged off... ugh. I didn't like the interaction. It's ok to be hurt and sad or angry, and while we know Cdramas are here for the slaps, I didn't think it was the right time.
I have a question.....what was the case 16 years ago......that the ml started investigating??/ and how did his…
I think 16 years ago the ML's father and the Crown Prince were on a military campaign and were suddenly left without supplies. They lost a battle against an enemy town and were killed and publicly displayed. Perhaps the investigation is on why the army was missing support / supplies and lost..... not sure.
Does anyone know if there is any significance for Qi Man's jade pendant? I feel like there have been too many…
Agree, I felt like the cloth behind it when he was fighting showed that it came from his own clothing... not hers or the other guys. But why wouldn't he put it back on. I'm not sure if it is his or someone else's.

Late-night thoughts!

Does any of this matter to the show?

At the start, she has no open shop, then an open shop, and now a larger business in the restaurant.
How much time has passed since the show began... like a month, two, three?
